There was a man named Javier who appeared to me as one of these butlers that we only see in the most elite restaurants of the World. He was always so proper and was hustling around quickly and quietly everywhere, seeing to it that everything was running smoothly. He would be going from table to table making sure our needs were met. I had noticed when a man had turned the handle on the Coffee dispenser to fill his cup and then he absentmindedly was starting to doing something else next to this dispenser and was allowing the Coffee to overflow his cup, Javier saw this and husled over to turn the spigot off, I could tell that Javier was a little frustrated at this man but the strange thing was that this man showed no emotion on the mess he made and gave me the thought that he really did not care. He had reminded me of children that have told me, when they put something they picked up like ice cream from the Ice Cream Freezers in a Supermarket, they bring it to the Parents and the Parents say, NO. Then the child will put it on a shelf next to them, and I tell them, "you don't do that you put it back where you found it." The child's response is "the workers get paid to do that." Javier I love you man, I only wish all servers were as professional as you. Thank you and may the Lord Bless you! Robert PS. Shana By The Beach was a wonderful restaurant, yummy good. I only wish we could have one near my 'Home by the Road' in Arlington WA.

Wonderful resort 5 min walk from a beautiful beach and 10 min drive from Manuel Antonio National Park and 15min from the Quepos Marina. The amenities of the resort are wonderful, staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are very specious and very clean. The patio is great to have your morning coffee waiting for the monkeys to visit you or just watch birds and listen to wildlife. Overall This is a great place for families, single travelers or for couples. They can schedule tons of activities for your party and you do not need a car, taxis are everywhere. And if you want to chill, there are 2 pools available that are wonderful. One of them is an infinity pool for adults only. The breakfast was amazing. I am giving this resort a 10/10. Note: there is no laundry facilities to do your own laundry but they provide a service to do your laundry, it was 8$ for 2 lbs.

We had a wonderful experience in this hotel. Not only were the facilities very nice but the proximity to an amazing beach and the swimming pool and breakfasts were clear pluses. However, over everything else, it was the staff who made our stay unique. They were extremely attentive and always taking care of us, no matter if during breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just taking us up and down with the electric car or in reception, finding solutions to all our requests. I could mention quite a few of the staff member who absolutely had a positive impact on the quality of our stay, including Kevin, Alex, Javier, Indira, Elga, and many others. To all of you, big thank you!!

As a family of 4, with girls aged 21 and 19, we comfortably shared one room in this lovely hotel. The pool and restaurant area had lovely views of bird life and of the sea including one stunning sunset. The staff were all absolutely fantastic- so welcoming and friendly. Johnny, who organised tours, helped show me sloths and various birds in the trees, that I would not have seen on my own. Fiona was an absolute star, helping me arrange a guide through Efraín tours, in Manuel Antonio NP. She was super helpful and efficient. Javier who worked in the restaurant at breakfast was super charming and helpful and an absolute credit to the hotel. The jungle beach beneath the hotel was a stunning hidden gem - perfect for sheltered swimming. We would love to visit again!

One of the friendliest, cleanest, and most hospitable hotels that I've ever been to. I felt that I was with family here, although treated better. The staff at the poolside bar, (Javier, Allan, Edgar, Elieth, Jazmin) were very accommodating, and always smiling. The restaurant staff (Andrey, Lester, Johana, Alex, Lizandro, Maikol, Carlos, Indira, Javier) were the best. They even knew how I liked my coffee on the second day, and always came out in a new clean cup. The food was delicious, and they made all substitutions that I requested. Love the breakfast buffet, with all the fruit, omelet station, rice and beans, etc. you could want. Rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. I did have a TV that would come on all by itself in the middle of the night, but the staff took care of it once I mentioned it to them. The view came with 3 sloths in a tree 100 feet from the pool deck. The monkeys (Monkey Mafia) came in everyday at about 4 to entertain and amuse. Macaws and toucans came by daily. The manager, Hayette, has done a fantastic job with the hotel and staff. I would recommend Shana By The Beach to everyone, everyday. Go and be pampered.
