The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain

WE have visited this property ...Dove Mountain.... every April for years and years to celebrate our April Anniversary!! Some resorts weather poorly as the years go on...but The Ritz Carlton just gets better and better. The staff is unsurpassed.....Isabella in Ignite is so welcoming and lovely.....Rene in Core makes breakfast a fantastic experience.......Max and Trevor made our anniversary so memorable this year!!!! Tammy in security was such a huge help as well!!!! Truly the staff feel like family and are one of the resons we come back every year!!! The tortoise and the javelina only enhance the atmospher of this gorgeous setting!!!! Dont miss this experience....you will love every moment!!!

This is one of the nicest Ritz-Carlton properties we have had the pleasure of staying at. We had a room on the fourth floor looking out at the mountain-side of the resort, which was nice and extra quiet. We had breakfast every morning at the hotel's main restaurant, which offers a breakfast buffet providing a wide selection of hot and cold foods, including made to order eggs and omlettes. We also at dinner our first night at the hotel's main restaurant, a steakhouse by the name of CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar. It was excellent. It is approximately a 25-40 minute car ride from the hotel's location to downtown Tucson, but the drive is rather easy, and we enjoyed having a quiet, beautiful property to return to at the end of each day. We visited both sides of Saguaro National Park during our visit here, and it is highly recommended. We booked our stay here via prepayment through a major credit card's travel portal, but nonetheless had an issue arise between the credit card's travel provider and the hotel that the hotel's front desk was wonderfully helpful in resolving. The hotel is on ancestral land and has a daily Native American musical presentation. One day we also caught the live owls with their handlers in the hotel's lobby. We would stay here again without hesitation.

I’ve stayed here a couple times and have always had some issue with my Titanium status with Marriott. Today’s “was this is a luxury brand” and basically your status means nothing. This was after working with a “new” staff member that said she”d “email” if there was anything. My only expectation was a late check out after they didn’t have my room ready for me at the promised 3pm. Instead, I had to call back at 7:30pm to ask if it was and the response I got was we called and it went to voicemail but your room will be ready soon. Fortunate for me that I have a friend that lives near the motel that I could hang out with until I got into my room at 10pm. This is a beautiful property and location with great hiking. I expect more from a “luxury” brand hotel and Marriott. Disappointing all around.

Private location with lovely vistas, truly the getaway we needed. The staff were impeccable. Marcus and Dillon at Core, the entire team at the spa. Helpful ranger station within the hotel to get us oriented to hikes. Great menus. Amenities were plentiful. Would definitely return given the opportunity.

This was our third stay at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain and just like the last two visits, it was amazing. I truly look forward to staying here for the beautiful surroundings and genuinely terrific service. All three times we’ve stayed here, we’ve received upgrades and a welcome gift in the room. RC management…THANK YOU for recognizing your Marriott Elite guests and making us feel special. The property is in beautiful condition, the grounds look great, it’s quiet and surrounded by nature, the service at the front desk, bar, restaurant, room service and even the housekeeping team we interacted with are all on point. Ladies and gentleman, indeed! Thank you for another relaxing trip in a beautiful property. It’s rare that a property ever delivers a totally perfect stay, yet somehow this RC has done it three times in a row. Can’t wait to come back again soon.
