The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain

Pros: Classic impeccable ritz service. From every staff member. Actively saw ritz service in action where employees are empowered to immediately take care of an issue by camping a spa day or camping a drink when there was an issue- immediately de-escalated issues and guests feel heard. It amazes me how many hotels still argue with their guests on service issues - shout out to Janell. I appreciate the acknowledgement of my birthday with a big cake! I have titanium status and booked with FHR with Amex- I was upgraded to an insane casita with a big deck right up against the mountain. Breakfast was insanely good as was lunch at the pool. Shrimp tostadas- 5*. Pool service 5* Walking trails on property are awesome. Saw some peccary ( look like little pigs) and lots of bunnies. NOTES the property is O-L-D. Needs a refresh. Impeccably maintained to ritz standards, but still….. one of the oldest Ritz properties I have probably visited and I’m a brand loyalist I love properties with an adult pool. This hotel has one in the spa, which means you have to pay $100 a day for the pleasure. didn’t affect my visit but something to note. Lots of construction going on- starting next spring is probably a good time to visit when the new restaurant and some of the other upgrades are finished. Will definitely be back.

13 years since my first visit and was somewhat disappointed as some of the charm that this hotel had has long disappeared. The hotel is very remote, 30-40 min to any other restaurants and very limited choice on site. Food is ok. Was traveling on business and was surprised that often there was a shortage of drinks etc. That said, huge shout out to DJ, Andrea and Charles at the pool bar, fantastic staff, couldn’t do enough and help to make it a good trip despite the weather one day. Kind of staff Ritz Carlton should be employing everywhere.

Stayed at this hotel around 12 years ago and enjoyed the experience. Enjoyed my visit then but this time around the experience was not so great. The hotel itself is great although a little bit too remote if I am being honest. The staff are also formalising no particular mention should go to the room cleaning staff who were amazing and also the bar staff particular mention goes out to Logan and Hayden who always served with a smile.. Ithisbtime around I was was here for a conference and to hear that the main restaurant was closed for renovation meant that the eating options were really limited and invariably overcrowded. Also a big bug bear was that the bar were constantly out of different drinks. One day it would be corona the next it would be Heineken as so on. There seemed to always be something unavailable. . When catering for 250+ people you would think the hotel would make sure they had sufficient supplies in place. Anyway bottom line the hotel is great albeit remote. The staff are great .as well. Would come here again with my family but never again for a conference as the hotel just can’t handle it.

I stayed at Dove Mountain for business, but I promise I will return to see and explore more of this property! The stunning Sonoran Desert surrounds the resort with mountain views. The rooms were very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped to make my stay extra special. I spent every morning on my terrace, enjoying coffee and taking in the views. The spa is fantastic—especially the quiet pool area. Cayton’s restaurant, located in the clubhouse of the Dove Mountain Golf Club, offers good food, but the views and sunset are truly spectacular.

Amazing experience!!! Shout out to so many awesome staffers there !!! Front Desk … JANELLE and HOLLY !! When I arrived Janelle showed me two rooms , because she had an upgrade available! So glad she did ! I had the most beautiful room with two balconies, facing action , and a suite ! LOVED every minute in my room ! MORE SHOUT OUTS …….. parking attendants and drivers ….. OMAR , always smiling and helpful DARREAN , helpful and sweet ALECK, adorable and friendly ADAM , drove safe and courteous Bell Man CHAUNCEY ……. Did an amazing intro to room, extremely helpful , very sweet Hostess ….. MONICA was absolutely adorable and I loved our conversation! Always smiling early in morning at the hostess stand POOL ….. so many great servers there ! All helpful , food excellent, drinks delicious! MARICELLA , CHARLES, BRODY, & ANDREA I thought the hotel and my room was pristine in cleanliness, the entire staff was amazing and I would absolutely 100% stay here again.
