Isla Bella Beach Resort

My boyfriend, now fiancé and I visited Isla Bella Resort last week and had the best time. I turned 30 years old on 11/14 and wanted to get away from Ohio to celebrate my birthday! Isla Bella was the last stay of our trip to the Florida Keys as we wanted to relax and wind down before heading home. We were pleased with how close this resort was to the highway but also back far away where it was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool, playing bingo at the beach bar, and checking out all the goods at the Marketplace. On our last night, we took a walk down to watch the sunset near Pelican Point and it was breathtaking. It was exactly what I needed. 2 hours later we walked back down to see the fish in the water near the blue lights and my boyfriend then asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! Now even more because of the proposal, Isla Bella Resort will always have a special place in our hearts. We would highly recommend this resort and we can’t wait to visit again. Also, thank you to all of the pleasant and helpful staff!

The hotel and grounds are truly beautiful. The staff is friendly, but incredibly slow. We had a smooth check-in and a welcome drink for our anniversary - nice touch. We stayed here last year for our anniversary and were blown away with everyone and every thing we encountered. I want to mention Cynthya at check-in and Manny who helped with our bags; they were extremely pleasant and professional. Your map needs to be up-dated and a list of what's included in the resort fee, either in print or told when checking in to refer to the website. I found out things that were included in the resort fee simply by accident. Had we been told, we wouldn't have missed out on so much. In closing, you changed the location of the "adults only" pool. It's too far away from the beach bar, a sever showed up only once.

Great location. Isla Bella has a great combination of pools and beach! The resort was super clean the amenities were fabulous. The staff was friendly. We loved Annie the bartender at the Beach Bar. We would definitely recommend Isla Bella as your place to stay in Marathon.

The property itself is very beautiful and overall a very pleasant place to stay. Every staff member we encountered was kind and professional—except in the wedding department. Unfortunately, working with Melissa was extremely disappointing. She was rude during every interaction, constantly talking over my family whenever we made suggestions, and often acted as if this was her wedding instead of ours. Throughout the entire planning process, I felt uncomfortable and unheard. She repeatedly pushed her own opinions, even when it was clear that my family and I had a specific vision for our special day. Because of this, I do not recommend hosting a wedding or event here unless you want to feel bullied, dismissed, and ignored. My two daughters will be choosing a different venue for their future weddings, as Isla Bella has lost a good paying customer. That said, the resort is lovely and I would still recommend staying here—just not for hosting events.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is gorgeous and there are plenty of things to do to keep you busy. We ended up just staying on the property and reaping the benefits of being resort guests. Would definitely recommend choosing Isla Bella!
