Truly enjoyed everything about this place. Great rooms with access to beach and pools, plays like volleyball etc. super good staff, very attentive. Only downside was the mosquitos, must be a special year!

A Slice of Paradise – Just Like the Islands We’ve traveled to Hawaii eight times and fallen in love with the island culture, tranquil beauty, and warm hospitality. This was our first time staying at Isla Bella Beach Resort, and from the moment we turned down the palm-lined road at check-in, it truly felt like we were back in the Hawaiian Islands. Despite Isla Bella having 199 rooms, the peace and serenity made it feel like a private retreat. Here are a few highlights — and a couple of concerns — from our five-day stay: Positives: 1. The entire property is absolutely stunning and meticulously maintained. 2. Every staff member we encountered — from check-in to room service to restaurant staff — treated us with kindness and made us feel truly valued. 3. The resort was immaculate — everything from the walkways to the landscaping was spotless and well cared for. 4. The fitness center was cleaned multiple times a day, and every machine was in working order. 5. Our room was, without exaggeration, the cleanest we’ve stayed in across all our travels. Spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. 6. The view from our room was breathtaking — as if we were staying directly on the beach. 7. The resort’s location just steps from the iconic 7 Mile Bridge gave us unforgettable sunrise walks every morning. Concerns: 1. Guests were allowed to play radios at the pool and beach, which at times disrupted the otherwise peaceful setting. 2. There was a clicking sound in the wall after using the hot water — possibly from the pipe cooling — which was a bit disruptive when showering late at night. 3. The ice machine closest to our room was out of service during our stay, which was a minor inconvenience. Final Thoughts: This trip was everything we needed and more — a true 5-star experience. After 30 years as a firefighter, I’ve always valued customer service above all, and the team at Isla Bella reminded me that exceptional hospitality is still alive and well. When we first arrived we were thoroughly impressed by the grounds and loveliness of our beach walk out room. Check in was slow but fine. But that evening when we came back to our room a truck spraying a mosquito fog drove past my children standing on the sidewalk, we ran to the room and were surrounded by a cloud of mosquitos. 3 of 4 of our room keys didn’t work and once we finally got our room to open, we rushed inside and found 80-100 mosquitos in the room with us. My husband and I set out to kill them before they could keep biting us. We ended up with blood all over towels, walls and dead bugs on the floor. We went to sleep and went out the next morning, planning our day to be back before dusk because of the substantial mosquito problem. When we came back to our “cleaned” room the beds had been made and towels replaced but dozens of dead mosquitos still covered the floors and counters. Our shower leaked leaving a puddle of water by the toilet. We checked out the following morning and were hit with a bill for hotel fees and amenities that more than doubled the original cost of the room. This property is pretty on the surface, but left us disappointed and frustrated by our stay.

This is one of, if not THE BEST resort in the keys. Beautiful, clean, attentive staff, good food, activities, plenty of pools. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the breezes & sunsets. Having grown up on the Jersey Shore, I wouldn’t call this a beach….but then the keys are not known for beaches.
