Take time away from it all in a place like no other: a beachfront haven where you can do it all — or nothing at all. Grab a kayak or a nap, read a book or a menu, work on your tan or your second piña colada.
Tranquility Bay is a place like no other, apart from the crowds. Nestled in the heart of the Florida Keys’ palm-lined paradise, in warm and welcoming Marathon, you’ll find a tropical oasis that’s easy to get to, but hard to leave. Because here you’ll make the memories that matter. Wake up to the glistening waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Stay in a private, standalone beach house right on the ocean or surround yourself in the tropical sanctuary of more intimate garden guest rooms. With no hallways, three pools, onsite watersports and plenty of room to just space out--you can do everything to nothing at all. At the end of the day, let powder-soft sand sift through your sun-kissed toes as you relax on a 2.5-acre private beach. Relax,*sigh*… you’ve arrived.

Loved Lynne’s class at Tranquility Bay. Her professional experience showed in a flowing class for all the attendees, beginning slowly and building up to complete and satisfying class for everyone.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa. The location was perfect stepping right off our porch on to the beach. We enjoyed the pools and the Tiki Bar. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The rooms themselves were fine - the fixtures showed some wear in all rooms - as did the furniture - but the beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. The staff was exceptional - everyone we interacted with was so kind. One groundskeeper even went to go inquire about a plant we had asked about and returned to tell us what it was. There was some outdoor construction on the deck near our unit during the day / but again some updates were needed / so understand you can’t have it both ways. Would definitely recommend.

Most relaxing yoga class with cooling breeze on putting green The class helped recover from long drive. Class members were from colder climates. I look forward to Sunday’s class.

On arrival, I did not feel at all welcomed. I could not hear the front desk clerk over a loud resort job interview happening in the lobby next to the front desk. There was a man interviewing for a restaurant position and the manager was elaborating on how she wanted to get a good team together because she had a growing permanent makeup business on the side. The desk clerk and I had to lean close to each other to be heard. Later, when my husband went to the front desk and inquired about watersports, he was told curtly to just check the website. On New Year's Eve there was a fixed price menu in the Butterfly Cafe for $119 per person. I had requested outdoor seating when I made the reservation a month before. However, as later predicted, temps were in the 50s on New Year's Eve. I figured since they were keeping my reservation, they must have accommodations like heat lamps or blankets. They did not. Filet mignons were overcooked and 3 of the 4 filets we ordered were cold on arrival to the table. Dessert selections were tiny and not appealing. Starter salad was curiously small- like the side salad you'd get with Chinese takeout. It was the first day of our stay and the last day we dined at the resort. The housekeeping and grounds crew seemed to do a good job. It was pleasant to sit on the lounge chairs and enjoy the view. The townhouse amenities could use updating, particularly the TVs (cable only) and the couches (worn and discontinued Sunbrella fabric).
