Take time away from it all in a place like no other: a beachfront haven where you can do it all — or nothing at all. Grab a kayak or a nap, read a book or a menu, work on your tan or your second piña colada.
Tranquility Bay is a place like no other, apart from the crowds. Nestled in the heart of the Florida Keys’ palm-lined paradise, in warm and welcoming Marathon, you’ll find a tropical oasis that’s easy to get to, but hard to leave. Because here you’ll make the memories that matter. Wake up to the glistening waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Stay in a private, standalone beach house right on the ocean or surround yourself in the tropical sanctuary of more intimate garden guest rooms. With no hallways, three pools, onsite watersports and plenty of room to just space out--you can do everything to nothing at all. At the end of the day, let powder-soft sand sift through your sun-kissed toes as you relax on a 2.5-acre private beach. Relax,*sigh*… you’ve arrived.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom beach villa for 6 nights and wish we would have booked somewhere else. The grounds of the hotel are actually very nice and the staff were generally friendly. We did like the formal restaurant and the Tikki bar, although the latter was not really protected from the elements. Our villa was spacious but had multiple issues, many of which were never rectified by management. We were staying during a cold snap and the heat didn't work properly (upstairs was 10 degrees warmer than downstairs, making it difficult to utilize both areas comfortably). We asked twice if this could be fixed and nothing seemed to really change after maintenance looked into it. One of the toilets also got clogged and there were no plungers. The back door that exited towards the beach didn't work properly and there were many signs of excessive wear in the unit itself. I was also surprised that the hotel only has one type of pillow, an overstuffed pillow that is difficult to sleep on if you're used to something flatter. If you're staying during the winter you might also want to be aware that the two larger pools are not heated at all and are not really suitable for children. The beach was also entirely covered by seaweed, which is apparently status quo this time of year. I'm also not sure what the resort fee covers since there are no towels at the pools and you have to pay extra for basic things like taking out a cheap beach kayak. Overall I would say that this resort was overpriced and did not represent value. Would not return.

The location was good, the weather was dire (not hotel's fault!!). The Room was very overpriced for what we received. There was no hanging facilities except for a hook which held 6 hangers, good job we only were there for a night. There was no ironing board or iron in the room, although this was rectified by housekeeping. But there was no storage for it. A piece of the coffee percolator jug, broke off whilst we were making a drink before bed. We visited reception with it expecting a replacement immediately. we were told that this wasn't possible as housekeeping were the only ones that could do it. A new one was delivered in the morning but we were without a hot drink for nearly 12 hrs. Really? We visited the bar in the afternoon and found other users redeeming a token for a free cocktail, which hadn't been offered as we checked in. The weather was so bad that we were told the bar was closing early. I returned to reception and received an apology and the said tokens. As we had no desire to return to the Tikki Bar and were under the assumption that the bar was closing, I asked if we could use it at the bar near to the restuarant and was told yes. When we attempted to use it, we were told that we could only use it at the Tikki Bar. We were moving on the next day, I asked if we could have the money taken from our bar bill and we were told that they would have to check with the manager and we would be contacted by email that day. To date we haven't received anything, despite me emailing all the above in an email to them. They haven't had the courtesy to respond. As you can see we were very disappointed with our visit, the hotel had been recommended to us and we were willing to pay the exhorbitant cost to experience the resort. Never again.

Loved Lynne’s class at Tranquility Bay. Her professional experience showed in a flowing class for all the attendees, beginning slowly and building up to complete and satisfying class for everyone.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa. The location was perfect stepping right off our porch on to the beach. We enjoyed the pools and the Tiki Bar. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The rooms themselves were fine - the fixtures showed some wear in all rooms - as did the furniture - but the beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. The staff was exceptional - everyone we interacted with was so kind. One groundskeeper even went to go inquire about a plant we had asked about and returned to tell us what it was. There was some outdoor construction on the deck near our unit during the day / but again some updates were needed / so understand you can’t have it both ways. Would definitely recommend.

Most relaxing yoga class with cooling breeze on putting green The class helped recover from long drive. Class members were from colder climates. I look forward to Sunday’s class.
