Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa

Thoroughly enjoying our two week stay at the Don Carlos Marbella hotel. The highlight? The team who go above and beyond to take such good care of us. The hotel has a superb recruitment department because every member of staff has been well selected to best match their personality and character to their areas of responsibility. From the super warm welcome we received at the reception desk upon arrival at midnight, to the friendly team at breakfast. Special shoutouts to the poolside team who are top class. Paul, the competition entrant mixologist at the poolside bar is a magician when it comes to tailor making cocktails to personal tastes. Nahuel, the charming, young pool host treated us like VIPs. He ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed at all times. Facundo, the poolside server was very professional and excellent at paying attention to details to raise the level of service at the hotel. He made a number of great suggestions and personalised the service to each guests. Last but not least, Tony the host at breakfast and the poolside restaurant was simply brilliant. He really couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel has been beautifully renovated this year and offers everything one would need for a thoroughly relaxing retreat. From the huge, immaculately landscaped zen garden, Rafa Nada tennis centre and two beach clubs (Niki beach and Lucia beach club) to the cool pool area. We also enjoyed breathtaking sunset views of the Marbella coastline from our comfortably furnished west-facing terrance on the seventh floor. However, it is certainly the staff who make the Don Carlos a standout luxury resort, that will keep us returning year after year!

this review as 20 year customers: a completely renovated hotel , but still the same positive points : the gardens , the pool , sol y Sombra , the room…. a negative point is the loud music everywhere. why do hotels need to make boum boum boum all day long , i can’ t understand. Our special thanks to Mr Gomez, whom we were so pleased to see again after the renovation, and Mohamed from the beach, who is taking so good care of his customers

Great stay at the newly refurbished Don Carlos hotel from start to finish. The service was exceptional and the staff were all wonderful including the Elisabet and Daniel from the Guest Experience team. Look forward to revisiting next year.

Beautiful resort, nice staff especially Mohamed on the beach who was very thoughtful and helpful as Jennifer the room service in bloque two.

Excellent hotel - calm, tranquil and luxurious, everyone who works there was so hospitable and welcoming - by the pool, the restaurants and front desk and the doormen and the chamber maids, I was there for a while and got to meet everyone so wont list names as wouldn't want to miss anyone out - but the whole experience was first class!
