Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa

We're currently staying at the Don Carlos Hotel and have had a fantastic experience so far. The hotel has a great vibe throughout and has been beautifully refurbished. It's stylish without feeling over the top, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are excellent. The staff really make the difference. Everyone we've met has been friendly, welcoming and genuinely happy to help, always taking the time to have a conversation and making us feel well looked after. Breakfast offers plenty of choice, and having several restaurants on site is a real bonus. We particularly enjoyed Manero, which has a great atmosphere and excellent food. Overall, it's been a brilliant stay in a great location. We'd happily recommend the Don Carlos Hotel to anyone visiting Marbella and would definitely return.

It's an absolutely stunning hotel - clean, modern with a very cool vibe and fabulously attentive staff. The only thing I would fix is the tea/coffee service at breakfast - sounds daft, but it just took the edge off the place every morning that we stayed. The longest we waited for a coffee was 45 minutes - the shortest was 25 minutes. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the end of the world, but I'm a Northerner , and a morning brew is like going to church. The restaurants, the pool area, the beach club, and the tennis facilities are all first-class. Our bedroom was a standard family room and it was lovely, I would definitely come again and you shouldn't let my review stop you coming - I would just encourage you to grab a member of the service team as soon as you arrive for breakfast and not let them out of your sight.

I just finished a 1-to-1 coaching session with Gabriel, and he was absolutely incredible. The coaching was top-tier and exactly what I needed. A huge shoutout to Maggy at the front desk as well for being so welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this team!

Hi everyone, While we still have two wonderful days left here, I wanted to take a moment to recognize what has truly been an exceptional experience at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center and Don Carlos. From our very first day, every single person we have interacted with has made us feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. It is rare to come across a team where every individual stands out, but that has absolutely been our experience here. A special thank you must go to Tanea, who stepped in to help us resolve an issue that nobody else had been able to solve. Not only did she take ownership of the situation, but she went far above and beyond to make sure my wife and I felt comfortable, looked after, and able to simply enjoy our holiday and tennis experience. Whether it was helping us with our booking, assisting us with equipment and shoes, or simply taking the time to make sure everything was perfect, her warmth, professionalism, and kindness left a lasting impression on us. We would also love to recognize Maggie, whose warmth and kindness have been equally memorable. She has gone out of her way on countless occasions to make our stay feel extra special and comfortable in every way possible. Her positivity and genuine care for guests shine through in every interaction, and she has been such a wonderful part of our experience here. Beyond Tanea and Maggie, we want to recognize Yohan and his entire team at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center. The professionalism, energy, and passion for tennis that everyone brings each day is truly remarkable. Whether it has been the coaching staff, reception team, grounds crew keeping the courts in immaculate condition, the bar staff, or everyone working behind the scenes, every person has contributed to making this an unforgettable experience. Hospitality and service are often judged by moments when things don’t go perfectly, and what has impressed us most is not just how well this team operates day to day, but how much everyone genuinely cares about making guests feel special and looked after. We have been fortunate enough to travel to some places and experience resorts and we can honestly say that the people here are what make this place truly exceptional. Thank you to Tanea, Maggie, Yohan, and the entire team for making our tennis holiday such an incredible experience. We are already sad that we only have two days left and will leave with wonderful memories that we will carry with us long after we return home.
