Disgusting attitude to guest dignity

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

DO NOT BOOK WHILE THEY HAVE AMENITIES CLOSED !!!!! So the hotel now have no rooms to shower in for late checkout due to the closure of downstairs , they send you to a toilet which has no lock on as the lock is too stiff to turn and needs a 10 min repair I would expect , they are sending grown men to this toilet room which has a shower to get showered when female children are in the toilet going toilet with the door being u locked - disgusting to say the least for the sake of them being too tight to give a room or fix a lock , we have been here 4 times and been fine , this is all down to them trying to save pennies due to closing the downstairs off which had changing rooms. They should be closed down. I wouldn’t give 2 stars and that’s a returning guest saying that

Beware!!! TUI's website is entirely misleading - and they know it.

Booked a B&B package with TUI for an Easter break with the family. Shortly after booking, we received an email from TUI stating that they had just been advised the spa, hotel shops and a number of restaurants in the hotel were all closed - we were reassured that there would be a restaurant open for breakfast and would be served alongside in beautiful pool area - so not to worry. Turns out we were served breakfast on plastic tables and chairs temporarily set up in the hotel's busy reception area. The "open restaurant" was actually a small cocktail bar, which was far too small to accommodate the number of guests and, even with a very limited offering of different breakfast foods, the volume of food being consumed. The closed restaurants, shops, etc looked as is they were abandoned in a rush, giving the impression of derelict buildings, many of which had been wrapped with unsightly hazard warning tape around their perimeter. We were informed by staff that the facilities were closed due to an ongoing legal dispute with the owner/partner, and that the dispute had been ongoing for months - TUI knew this yet had continued list the hotel with all its facilities on their website. Only when I called them did they offer to swap the hotel - but too late. Other than that, we found the hotel and our rooms to be very tired and in desperate need of renovation. Certainly not the standard of the listed star rating. The only positive was the staff. They were honest about the situation and, despite the issues it created, worked hard to provide the service that guests expected.

Do not book this hotel

The hotel is definitely not 5 stars! It claims to be..?!? The hotel is dirty, overpriced and in desperate need of renovations. Not to mention the hotel cafes/restaurants and stores being closed and the staff are quite rude/angry?? For your own sanity… do not stay here. This place feels like it’s running on fumes. The rooms, common areas, and overall service reflect a hotel in its final stretch — unless they do a complete turnaround, I wouldn’t be surprised if it shuts down soon (it’s a matter of time)…

Great staff but old and over priced

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Very good service from the excellent staff. We had a room the next to the reception and woke up every morning at 6.45 due to the noice. We asked for another room which we got and it was much better on the 3rd floor. However, the hotel is very very old and it has absolutely not aged with style. You find handicap bikes placed in the reception, funny arrangements around the pool and all the shops and restaurants on the ground floor are closed and it looks terrible with dirty windows and you get the impression that it is final curtain call. Staff is great but the manager has to step it up and it is heavily over priced due to the fact that it is close to Puerto Banus.

I'd go back again! Great experience!

great service and was beyond everything that was promised! Terrific hotel and rooms were above and beyond! We did not eat in the restaurant but had a delicious poolside breakfast that was included in the room rate.
