Very good service. I recommend it a lot. It will definitely not be my last time here. Special thanks to Alfonso.

Unfortunately, our experience was far below what we expected. We had previously visited Kimpton Mallorca and this hotel failed to meet those standards on every aspect. What should have been a relaxing stay was affected by a number of safety, maintenance, service and value-for-money issues. Safety & maintenance There were several issues that should really be addressed. The bed end presented a genuine trip/injury hazard and I actually cut my leg on it. In the bathroom, there was a broken mirror and toilet-roll holder and the water temperature was inconsistent. When we wanted to use the golf buggy it was being charged. The table tennis table was broken when we wanted to use it (I fixed it myself). The pool was also being tested on two separate occasions during the daytime, which disrupted guests’ use of it. Pool & atmosphere A recurring problem was the shortage of pool towels. There were frequently not enough available later in the day. The sunbed policy was inconsistent, our towels were removed after around 20 minutes, while someone nearby had been away for two hours and their towel and sunbed remained. There were also too many sunbeds packed into the available space, and the umbrellas were difficult to move or adjust. The music volume was far too loud around the pool and detracted from what should have been a relaxing environment. Room & bathroom The bathroom design and maintenance were disappointing. The bath was too narrow, the toiletries were fixed to the wall above head height when using the bath so it was physically impossible to reach them. There was very limited storage in the room: no drawers or shelves. Food, drink & service Service was inconsistent at breakfast, largely dependent on the time and the location you were seated. I often had to get my own coffee. In one occasion, I had to chase twice and was told there was a long list of orders to get through. When it finally arrived, I was presented with the wrong drink! We also couldn’t get a drink of water in reception. My daughter just wanted a glass of water from the station (provided for newly arriving guests) but we were pointed towards the bar to pay for a drink. Non-breakfast food was of mixed quality and consistently over-priced. Activities & additional charges We were disappointed by the number of additional charges. The swimming pool, sauna, steam room, bikes and padel all carried extra costs. The free table tennis had no balls available. Overall Individually, some of these issues might seem minor, but collectively they had a significant impact on our stay. The overall environment simply wasn’t relaxing. Given the price, we expected a much higher standard and much better attention to detail. Unfortunately, we did not feel this was good value for money and, based on our experience, we would not recommend it.

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience at Los Monteros. Based on the hotel’s marketing on Booking.com, we got the impression that this was an exclusive hotel with a clear focus on adults, but that was far from our actual experience. There were a huge number of young children, especially in the main pool, which made it very difficult for adults to swim and relax. Of course, having families and children at a hotel is not a problem in itself, but in our opinion, the marketing gives a misleading impression of the hotel’s target audience. The so-called adults-only pool on the rooftop is very small and only around half a metre deep – more like a paddling pool than a proper swimming pool for adults. We were also disappointed by the hotel’s connection to the beach. On Booking.com, you get the impression that La Cabane and the beach are part of the hotel experience and that there is direct access to the beach from the hotel. This is not the case. The hotel’s sun loungers on the beach also cost €40 per person, which we found extremely expensive. The overall price level was also surprisingly high. A drink by the pool cost around €20, water was not included during the stay, and a single scoop of ice cream by the pool cost €8. This felt particularly excessive given the large number of families with children, who naturally buy ice cream and drinks at the pool. We also do not feel that the fenced-in pool area with locked gates creates the exclusive and luxurious atmosphere you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The only thing that truly lived up to our expectations was the breakfast. It was excellent, with a huge selection, plenty of fresh berries, a wide variety of products and freshly squeezed juice. Overall, we feel that the hotel is marketed in a way that creates a misleading impression of what guests can actually expect, particularly if you are an adult looking for a peaceful and exclusive stay. Had we known how family-oriented the hotel actually was and how the pool and beach facilities worked, we would have chosen somewhere else.
