Review after blackout of Spain

I write after I've been though the black out of Spain. It was a really scary experience and I felt the hotel staff were not prepared and beside a generator for the lights in the main areas there was nothing in your room that worked. None of the plugs or as it was getting dark none of the lighting. The hotel staff had no answers and I said they really need an action plan but nothing seemed to be happening nor explained which I felt was really poor. On a positive note, there not a monthly staff of the month employee scheme in place so I have to say on here that at least one member of staff stood out in all of this who was the supervisor on the breakfast shift, Teresa Y Mariela, who at least had the kindness to speak and be helpful.

Very friendly hotel staff; great room; very good facilities; competitive rates. Free room upgrade on checking in. King size bed with soft pillows (always a good sign, imo). The hotel reception staff took trouble to explain about all the facilities on checking in and generally couldn’t do enough to help, including booking taxis (which arrived quickly). Nice swimming pool. Breakfast buffet well stocked and serving until 11 am, so no hurry to get up in the morning.

Can't fault this hotel, although don't think it would be suitable for kids and no entertainment. The rooms are really comfortable, TV and wifi. The breakfast is fantastic and really friendly staff. Close, but not too close to the centre of Marbella and at the start of the golden mile. Will definitely be back in September

Staff were friendly , location good . Easy to walk to beach . Room clean but looking tired . We didn’t try any of the food offered in the hotel.
