Pros : Great location Cons: Older Marriott. 800 rooms. Air con was very unreliable and we had technicians in our room many times. Also very inconsiderate. . They ring your room at 9:30pm at night, every night to tell you to close your curtains because of the turtle breeding season with no consideration if you are asleep. We told them if they have to ring, ring at 7pm as some of us want to sleep. They did not listen. Rude as well. No mention on the web site about this as well.

One of our favorite locations ever. The check-in experience was wonderful and easy. Very friendly, quick and we were upgraded to an oceanfront room with the most amazing view. We used almost every restaurant on the premise, the food was phenomenal, and the staff at all establishments were friendly, helpful and kind. The beach was so big, plenty of space to relax. The chairs were spaced out nicely. The ocean was perfection. The kids loved the arcade, and the hotel was walking distance to everything. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is lovely and large, with multiple dining options. We love the beach, and this property has a vast, beautiful one; however, the experience was ruined by terrible beach service. Although the scheduled time for collecting chairs and umbrellas is 6:00 PM, the staff started packing them up—every single day—as early as 3:00 or 3:30 PM. They made a lot of noise with the trucks, which also gave off a terrible smell of gasoline, and the workers shouted to one another. The bottom line: if you want to relax on the beach after lunch, it’s impossible! I don’t understand how a hotel of this caliber (and price point!) fails to pay attention to these details.

My wife stayed at the JW recently with her sister and our daughter. They ran into some not-so-great customer service. Less than the kind of service you'd expect from a JW Marriott. I won't get into the details but a call to management was returned quickly with apologies and more. Evlyan was amazing and really turned a bad stay into a great one. She was so very nice and gave the kind of service you are supposed to receive. Cheers Evlyan.

Captain Tom is incredible. Such a knowledgeable gentleman. Took us to all the key locations to see dolphins and seashells. Knew everything about Marco and was very kind and personable. Highly recommend him and his tour!
