Very Disappointing Experience – Not the Luxury Promised Dates stayed: 7 January 2026 – 14 January 2026 My stay at Zoëtry Marigot Bay from 7th January 2026 until 14th January 2026 was extremely disappointing and fell far below the standards expected of a luxury resort. Prior to our arrival, I had emailed the General Manager, Lester, and the Manager of Rooms, Consuelo, as I was concerned by the high volume of negative reviews and feedback from other guests who had recently stayed at the resort. Both reassured us via email that our stay would be comfortable, that our needs would be accommodated, and even offered a complimentary sunset boat tour to assure us that we would enjoy our vacation. Unfortunately, the reality of our stay was the complete opposite of what was promised. From the moment we arrived, the experience was negative. The front desk service was particularly poor. The male receptionist, Claudius, was rude, unpleasant, passive-aggressive, and highly unprofessional. I had called in advance to ask about arranging a small cash advance on our 3rd day so I could pay for a food delivery, yet he handled the situation with a bad attitude and made it unnecessarily uncomfortable. Tamara, another receptionist, was also passive-aggressive and rude, further contributing to an unwelcoming and unpleasant experience. It was only when their supervisor, Keline, stepped in that the matter was handled properly and professionally. Without her intervention, the issue would not have been resolved at all. Unfortunately, poor service extended beyond reception. The beach concierge/butler, Shadrack, was very unpleasant, rude, and unprofessional, which further detracted from what should have been a relaxing and attentive guest experience. The room itself was unacceptable from a cleanliness and maintenance perspective. We found cockroaches in the bathroom, hair on the floor, heavy limescale buildup, and a broken mini fridge that was leaking. This is completely unacceptable for a resort that markets itself as high-end. In addition, there was constant disruption to our sleep in the mornings. Bar refill staff regularly woke us up between 7:00am and 8:30am, which was extremely annoying, inconsiderate, and highly disruptive to our rest. This completely undermined the idea of a peaceful, relaxing stay that Zoëtry claims to offer. The food experience was equally poor. The food was bland, frequently burnt, and menu items were constantly out of stock. For example, plantain was repeatedly unavailable for the St Lucian breakfast. Fresh fruit options were extremely limited only melon, pineapple, and star fruit were available and there was no real fresh juice, which was very disappointing. Service at the restaurant was painfully slow. We regularly waited at least 45 minutes for breakfast, apparently due to a limited number of chefs working. The servers had a sluggish, nonchalant attitude, showed poor attention to detail, and demonstrated weak listening skills. Our orders were often incorrect or missing items, and there was no communication or reassurance to let guests know that food was on the way. Dining areas were further compromised by hygiene concerns. There were stray cats roaming freely around the main 14°61 restaurant and the café breakfast restaurant, which was extremely off-putting and unhygienic particularly as I have severe allergies to cat hair. Staff did nothing to prevent or move the cats away from diners. In addition, there were chickens and stray dogs roaming around the beach, and guests were constantly approached by hawkers trying to sell items, which was very annoying and detracted from any sense of exclusivity or relaxation. To make matters worse, no welcome drink was offered at check-in, which is a basic expectation at a resort of this category. The only pleasant member of staff we encountered during our stay was Alison at the pool bar. She was always smiling, had a great attitude, and showed excellent attention to detail. Unfortunately, she was the exception rather than the norm. Overall, there appears to be a clear lack of strong leadership and customer service capability at Zoëtry Marigot Bay. Staff behaviour, service standards, and guest engagement suggest that regular training, performance reviews, and stronger management oversight are urgently needed. The star rating of this resort should be strongly revised to accurately reflect the current reality of the guest experience. I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for a true luxury experience. Despite advance communication with senior management and reassurances, the service, cleanliness, food quality, hygiene concerns, sleep disruption, and repeated unprofessional behaviour from multiple staff members made this stay extremely disappointing. I would not return to Zoëtry Marigot Bay.

When you consider the cost of this hotel and the location, it is a shame it is such a let down. The location is great and the rooms are of a good standard. It has access to a beach across the bay but the reserved area needs to be renovated to feel part of the hotel. The hotel itself is in a relatively good state though lacks restaurant facilities. Unfortunately the food offering is very limited and the standard of service is variable, at times utterly dire. The sole (included) hotel dinner restaurant frequently runs out of menu items, ditto for breakfast. There is no consistency of menu items ordered. Service is the biggest problem, for example: 1) At breakfast we waited 30-45m for avocado on toast + yoghurt (for my wife's self-served granola); 2) at Hurricane Hole we left after a beer didn't appear 20m+ post ordering; 3) we made a reservation for the steak restaurant at lunch only to get there and be told there was no record of our booking; 4) we requested the complementary hotel gift bag to be delivered to our room (all other guests had one) on 5 separate occasions over numerous days, which was ignored until one lovely chap at reception took ownership and personally delivered to us.

Stayed 2 nights in another Rodney bay hotel before Zoetry rescued me. Upgraded my room. Sooo grateful they did. Stayed at Zoetry for 7 nights. If you are looking for a peaceful tranquil place to recharge THIS IS IT! Beautiful rooms, the tree frogs sang me to sleep. I’m a foodie and the food was excellent. The entire team couldn’t do enough to keep me happy, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast team including Rashida went to the hurricane hole to get my cappuccino just the way I like it when the coffee machine broke. At the end of my stay the housekeeper came asked me how I enjoyed my stay, always making sure I had what I needed. Whole team warm welcoming, gave me hugs when I left. Lester Scott the GM has done an outstanding job with his team. I have recommended the hotel to a friend getting married . Of all the places I’ve traveled to relax I give this high marks. I will return.

Our experience was amazing! The staff was so kind the entire time and made us feel so welcomed. Butler team was fantastic (Ferguson, Rochel, Kevin). They helped us with setting up fun activities/excursions like Piton sunset cruise, painting class, and a mixology class where the bartender Mario was so much fun! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the housekeeping team did a tremendous job everyday. We enjoyed all of the restaurants, and spent most of our time by the pool with a piña colada and coconut shrimp! Marigot Bay was beautiful and we were able to see some stunning boats/yachts make stops there! I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants a fun, relaxing, and dreamy vacation. Will absolutely be back!

This resort finds itself not able to deal with Celiac disease and most meals were cross contaminated. The staff tried to accomodate but there was a bill for that at the end of the vacation. This was not all inclusive and I did agreed to pay so I wasn't sick.
