Extraordinary place and amazing staff. Must visit spot for any trip. Chase, Helen, Joanne, and the whole team are the best in the business. See you again soon.

BOMC great

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Beautiful location and very kind and helpful staff. Chase was great. We felt it was a very nice hotel in the area, but it doesn’t stack up to other luxury lodges in New Zealand. It’s a great resort and we enjoyed our time. Pacing for dinner was inconsistent but the food was generally of good quality.

Unreal scenery and relaxing stay with wonderful staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Incredible location with unreal views and surrounding scenery. Wonderful service and attention to detail from dietary restrictions to transportation. The staff was very communicative via email prior to check-in and helped us arrange water taxi service to and from Picton. Overall had a very relaxing stay, enjoyed delicious and well prepared food, and loved hiking and kayaking around the property. Warm and friendly staff (thank you Chase, Gabriel, Helen and others!), guest laundry was a nice plus, and pool/hot tub are very pleasant.

A perfect weekend retreat.

This is the most amazing spots I have been to in NZ. The suites are superb. Spotlessly clean and stylish. It really is in right in amongst the native bush overlooking the Bay. The grounds are beautifully maintained - simply gorgeous. We loved the little hidden areas on the grounds - the hammocks, the viewing seats, the outdoor pool and spa. There are lovely walks into the bush (a short loop or longer tracks) which were lovely too - there is a track that goes to a waterfall which we did each day before dinner. The staff were attentive and nothing ever felt like any effort. The use of the kayaks and paddle boards was seamless and easy. The room makeovers seemed to happen as if by magic. We felt completely spoilt. The food was outstanding. One the evening we had prawns, kingfish with blue-cheese risotto, and beef ribs. Literally one of the best meals I have ever had. The wine matching was great. Breakfast was also a highlight. Coffees were great. Fantastic value. The whole resort has a tranquility to it. Nice and quiet and completely relaxing. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We are definitely coming back.

Amazing 🤩

Truly an incredible resort, this was a once in a lifetime type stay and we were not disappointed! Its location is unique, peaceful and no matter which room you stay they all point out to those views amongst the native wildlife! Dinner was just as incredible, red snapper with champagne truffle risotto was a wow dish! Everyone we met from our greeting to our check out were inviting, friendly and showed a genuine interest in the rest of our trip! If you plan to visit NZ this should be included for a slice of paradise and a breather before you continue on through the south island
