Decent hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Pros: Bedroom- we had a superior double room which was very spacious. Comfortable king size bed, shower room and another bathroom with a bath, both with sinks so we got to have 1 sink each! Separate toilet, storage/walk-in wardrobe, comfortable chairs to sit on and relax rather than sitting on the bed, outdoor seating area with comfortable chairs and a curtain for privacy if wanted. Bathrobes and slippers are in the room, which is always a welcome touch. Breakfast- the breakfast was ok, although I found it to be a bit limited in terms of options but I was able to have freshly made omelettes, fruits and pastries, which I stuck to each day. It would have been nice to have some sausages (non pork of course!) and beans, but like I said, I was still able to eat comfortably each day. Pool area- I only used the outdoor pool area once and there were plenty of nice sun loungers available and friendly staff handing out towels. The pool is heated, although I didn’t go inside it so I can’t comment on how it was. Staff- I found the staff I engaged with to be very friendly and welcoming. Location- it was very conveniently located to walk to places such as the square (approx 15min), Menara mall (approx 30min) and plenty of places to explore to eat. Cons: Lobby- the hotel lobby is currently being renovated so there is a temporary lobby, which is very small, although nicely decorated. It would have been nice to have the full lobby experience. Because of the lobby renovations, the breakfast area is also affected and there is a smaller breakfast area available spread over 2 rooms. Again, it would have been nice to have the full breakfast area experience. There is a stocked mini bar in the room but you have to pay for it, and it’s quite expensive! I’ve stayed in other 5 star hotels where the mini bar is included in the room fee. We ended up removing all the things from the fridge and using it for our own items. Our room was quite close the pool and bar area and I found it quite noisy at certain times of the night and early morning. I asked if we could change rooms to a quieter location but we were told the hotel was fully booked. I ended up playing calming sleep noises from my speaker at bedtime and this helped drown out the unwanted noises. It would be nice if the reception had smaller notes available since we are only given larger notes at the airport. We asked reception for smaller notes but they didn’t have any. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and were very happy with our room (minus the noise!). If we were to stay here again then it would be once the renovations are completed so we can get the full experience instead of the limited one (in certain areas) that we had.

Sweet smell in toilet

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Sewer smell in toilet. The hotel tried to eclipse the smell with a horrible chemical spray which made it worse. They suggested I open the door which I did but it is loud and cold.. I asked them to move my room but they won't. Also you need to pay for drinking water at 7 dollars per bottle.

Great for a working retreat or a relaxing trip with family.

La Naoura hôtel is spectacular and the staff super helpful and friendly. Particularly helpful was the concierge Jalil who helped us organize our extra seminar activities brilliantly. Beautiful hotel but being refurbished at the time we visited. I can’t wait to seee it finished when I come back. The gym was excellent and the spa also being redone was relaxing. I will return!
