A Jewel of Tranquility in Marrakech

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

It was a wonderfully relaxing short break to recuperate from our climb up Mount Toubkal in a relentless and ferocious wind! The calm atmosphere and opulence of the magestic grand dame was an absolute delight from start to finish. The staff were excellent with that understated charm awaiting on your every need. Mohcine was so attentive on the door, whilst Rashid was at hand to help with room service and Youssef on reception kept things well organized. Yousra made all at home, checking that all was well. Oumaima was a whirlwind, keeping everyone in order and making things run smoothly. Don’t miss the haman! Total relaxation.

Tranquil Paradise

One of the best hotels I have stayed in - staff very attentive and kind, room exceeded our expectations (we got upgraded from Pavillion to Grande Pavillion) and amenities were 10/10 - I really enjoyed hotel gym that had everything we needed. We had room service from hotel restaurant and food was amazing. Overall 11/10 stay! Will definitely try to come back. One small thing - we wish they would have provided us with more complementary water.

Relaxed indulgence!

This is the most beautiful small hotel. The Chateaux is incredible and the rooms are huge, luxurious and furnished in typical Moroccan style. The atmosphere almost feels like it takes you into the 1930's. The way the wait staff are dressed the relaxed and the beautiful gardens and there is a lovely pool area. In all honesty I was not a huge fan of Marrakech which was busy, dusty and too full on for us, but loved this hotel. It was a different world. The hotel also took care of a couple of issues that arose (not of the hotels doing), and the staff were extremely good in helping us out. I would thoroughly recommend.

Elegant & peaceful, but not quite the right fit for us

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Palais Ronsard is beautiful and peaceful, with a fabulous pool and lovely, spacious rooms. We appreciated the serene private garden of our ground-floor Chambre Prestige. The décor is charming, and service was adequate overall. Still, it wasn’t a perfect fit for us. The front desk is limited to one person, so help with restaurant reservations or logistics was minimal. Guest smoking by the pool was extensive—making sitting there unbearable at times. The pillows were unusually flat. And despite the website stating no children under 12 allowed, there were many. They were generally well-behaved (to be fair), but the policy should be updated. The pool menu felt too business-formal for a casual vacation lunch. The Palmeraie location also has drawbacks—no taxis or Ubers serve the area, so you’re dependent on a €25-each-way car service, and nothing nearby is walkable or easily reservable or accessible. We found the hotel had many appealing features and offered relatively good value, but for us, the combination of small frustrations and the lack of genuine warmth or hospitality from staff make us hesitant to return. .
