This is literally one of the best hotels in the world! Absolutely loved every minute of being here. From the time you arrive, the beauty of the hotel takes your breath away… amazing gardens and beautiful architecture make this hotel part of the experience of your stay in Marrakech. As well, the staff are amazing… every single person is trained to be at your attention… it’s actually quite impressive. Special recognition to Yasmine and his team at the morning breakfast. He knew made us feel VIP every morning with his welcoming personality. As well, Akbar at the morning buffet was a true highlight for us… his infectious enthusiasm for food and sharing the Moroccan cuisine was quite remarkable. The hotel is also conveniently located and walkable. The rooms are spacious and luxurious… loved the bathrooms and the bedding. Also, of note, the cocktails here are amazing! Every bar (and there are three) has specialty craft cocktails that are at times remarkable. I was really surprised at the creativity. Overall, while this is a pricier hotel compared to others, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again… there are very few places in the world like it.

I thought we would spend a little extra and treat ourselves after a very cold winter. Paid £15,000 as we arrived to stay two weeks (online payment system not working) Big issue with the hotel not being able to accept phone app payment !!! So had to spend half an hour making 35 odd payments of £431-00, which was the limit on a card payment... Then we were told we had to pay another £2,000 just in case we bought any meals in the hotel... Normally, we pay for the extras at the end, but rules is rules and the SYSTEM insisted. The big problem is we DIDN'T spend all the additional upfront payment, and they wouldn't refund us at the hotel. They said it would take seven days to credit my card. BUT IT NEVER HAPPENED. Two months later, and I now have Barclaycard chasing them for the refund (which they had agreed was correct), so it was a little disappointing. The food was very expensive for what it was, so we ate out most nights. The room was okay, but the bathroom was dinky. Generally, everybody was helpful; it was just the "SYSTEM" that was uncooperative. Would not visit again, there are many nicer hotels in the town centre. Don't be taken in by the decadence and the history; it's just another hotel. Terence F. Moss, Novelist.

This is the closest to paradise as I think it is possible to be . For me sitting at a table next to the pool ,outside the Pavillion with the magnificant buffet offering and the wonderful staff is heaven . I keep returning and will do so for as long as I am able

We had an amazing stay at La Mamounia! Wonderful Moroccan hospitality and beauty magnified by La Mamounia’s luxurious lenses. Whether it’s the decoration of the suite, the views, the food, or even the kindness of the staff, it was all so great! We will come back again, and again!

Undoubtedly a beautiful property. It excels in ambience and number of service personnel relative to guests. There is literally someone standing around every corner, ready to assist you with whatever is needed. The rooms, are somewhat dated and cluttered. Modern amenities like USB ports, modern lighting, etc., are lacking. The service as a regards taking care of your room is top-notch; leave your room for even an hour, it will be straightened up and left pristine when you return. The common areas are opulent and luxurious. From the pool, to the bars to the ambience and design of the restaurants, everything here is categorically first class. Here's the rub: the restaurants for both food and beverage are egregiously priced. I'm not sure I have seen anywhere where hotel restaurant and beverage prices are more expensive, relative to the quality. It's almost insulting the markup that is added to wine, food, etc. If the quality of said food and beverage were commensurate with those prices, it would at least seem more palatable. The reality, is that the food simply doesn't measure up. In fact consistently throughout our stay, we were disappointed with the quality of the food in virtually every restaurant. One example was the Asian restaurant where typically Nigiri is served by the pair. Here it is one, the least expensive of which is roughly €20 for one piece the more exotic fish like Seabass, the Nigri was priced at the rough equivalent of €32. This, with a few other small courses and a light lunch, was priced at roughly €250. To this property, I say, beautiful job on the overall experience, but your food and beverage prices are absurd. Either lower the prices or improve the quality. Poolside, there were two choices on a hot day for white wine. Moroccan white and one French Chablis. We casually ordered two bottles of the French wine over the course of two hours and when received the bill realized they were roughly the equivalent of €150 each. This is for a bottle of wine that probably cost the hotel less than $10. This theme is repeated throughout the property. Honestly, I found their pricing structure, not only egregious, but insulting. After traveling for a few weeks, we were running out of clean clothes. In checking the prices to have them wander your clothing, we noticed that one T-shirt would cost roughly 8 euros to have laundered. To buy new clothing and to have it laundered at this property. I don't want to whine on and on about the price of any property, but this was above and beyond relative to any property where we had stayed worldwide.
