Reviews for The Oberoi, Marrakech

Wonderfully relaxing 4 nights

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

For some reason our review isn't showing up, so trying this one more time! We spent five nights at The Oberoi Marrakech in April. There were many highlights, but the private Grand Canal Moroccan dinner was incredible. We also really enjoyed the spa. We had the signature Dhara treatment, which was deeply relaxing. Also, when a scheduled group yoga class was cancelled, Zaki stepped in to provide a stretching session and also graciously arranged a private session for us. As vegetarians, we were very happy with the quality of food across all dining options. Rivayat was our favorite (we went twice). We stayed in Room 506. It’s tucked away in a peaceful part of the property near the gardens, tennis courts, and spa. The room is south-facing, so we had sun throughout the day — perfect for enjoying the private pool.

Absolutely stunning hotel. The beautiful gardens are stunning, the spa and hot stone massage was amazing with a stunning indoor pool as well as the outdoor pool. We had a chef’s barbecue in our suite and it was fantastic, so much food with our own private chef and butler looking after you all night. The butler Osumma was very attentive and professional. The food at every time of the day was delicious. All the staff in every department were so polite and friendly and would do anything that you are for. One of the food and beverage managers Mr Haab was super attentive and excellent at his job. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will most definitely be returning.

Utterly Unique!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

The minute we set foot in The Oberoi, Marrakech, we were enveloped by a sense of calm. A truly unique property, beautifully designed, in a tranquil setting, with stunning views of the snow capped Atlas Mountains beyond. What makes this hotel stand out from the rest though, is the seamless service provided by Rohan, Mamdouh and their excellent team of staff. The accommodation at the Oberoi is absolutely lovely, providing every amenity you would expect from a first-rate hotel. We whiled away days spending mornings at the picturesque pool and afternoons relaxing on the terrace in our marvellous villa. Dining on the al fresco terrace of the Tamimt Restaurant is a joy, the menu is extensive and the food is utterly delicious. Although, to add to the culinary experience, a meal at the Rivayat Restaurant can only be described at outstanding! We enjoyed strolling to meals through the delightful, well-tended gardens surrounding the hotel, amongst which, you will find the super spa. This in itself can only be described as an oasis of peace. Marrakech's amazing Medina is just a short drive from The Oberoi and there are also a wealth of tours available, including day trips to the breathtaking Atlas Mountains If you are looking for a hotel which is up there with the best and I mean that most sincerely, look no further than The Oberoi, Marrakech, as it is hard to beat.

Luxury in Marrakesh

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We love the Oberoi brand and the hotel in Marrakesh did not disappoint. The setting with the Atlas Mountains in the distance, the food and all the little touches make it a luxurious, safe and wonderful holiday. The staff though are what makes this place special as they are so nice, friendly and informative. Being in a hotel away from the city is also nice so you get the contrast of busy and relaxed.

The excellence resides in subtle details

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Staying at this resort is an experience in itself, it is not about the elegant and impressive arhitecture and setting (the skyline with the Atlas Mountains is overwhelming) or the fine restaurants and the availability of a library, it is first about the interaction with the staff, which is always attentive to the smallest detail and the subtle elements of the location which make the difference between the ordinary and the extra-ordinary.
