My third time in 14 years, my wife's second. We love this place. Lots of rain in the last few weeks (early this year), so game drives were a bit restricted in where they could go, and the Mara River below our tent was too high for the hippos to spend any time there. But still, a wonderful experience. A special shout out to Samuel, our driver on the game drives, Patrick, our server at meals, and Adan, our housekeeper. They were all friendly, helpful, and informative. A new experiencet this time - an outdoor evening meal with Maasai singers and dancers from a local village. My wife loved it!

We enjoyed our stay stay at the Fairmont Mara. The property is beautiful, rooms very comfortable and including all amenities. Beautiful to watch the hippos in the Masai river as well! We were warmly welcomed at check-in and enjoyed the different activities and options provided. Patrick Lebo took great care of us at the restaurant and he welcomed every of our requests which made us feel at home and taken care of. He went out of his way to accomodate our requests, and always asked for feedback. Thank you Patrick!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Maasai singers, which set the tone for a very warm and welcoming stay. The hotel has a small, friendly team, and the main reception and bar areas are spotless and beautifully maintained. We stayed on the all-inclusive package, which was excellent — all local beers, good wines, soft drinks, everything included. The restaurant food was very good, with both buffet options and à la carte choices. A special shout-out to Chef Kapil, who went out of his way to make us a delicious chicken curry with chapatis and a potato curry as well. The team was extremely accommodating for vegetarians too. The barbecue nights were a highlight, with fresh, perfectly grilled meats. Breakfast was also great, with an omelette station and all the usual options. The whole site is very well managed — surprisingly, there were hardly any mosquitoes around. We stayed in Tent 31, which was immaculate. Huge thanks to Trimlet for the excellent service. The tent was spotless, very comfortable, with hot water and good pressure — honestly faultless. Mary in the restaurant went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. Lastly, the game drives. Our driver Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Due to weather changes and being in the conservancy, we only had time for three game drives and didn’t see much in the first two. However, we decided to venture into the main national park, which was absolutely worth it — we saw a kill, loads of elephants, giraffes, and more. If you’re here for a short stay, I’d definitely recommend at least one drive in the main reserve. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel.

We visited the Mara resort this January. The staff extends utmost hospitality and always ready to help. The food choices are limited, but if told in advance, they can prepare as per you . The services for game drive , drivers, and arrangements for game drives in the morning, are really good. Area that needs improvement is that they should have a play zone or Entertainment area which could include indoor and outdoor activities for adults and children. Since we are locked in the property for the entire day, it’s better to keep these things to keep children and adults occupied. Mostly, the staff makes your stay comfortable.
