Nice hotel find in the middle of Mazara Del Vallo. They had a shuttle to town as well as their beach club. We loved the beach club, small but nice beach with sand, some rocks( not many) and clear water. Comfy lounge chairs too. Small snack bar. The town is lively at night. We had a lot of fun. Service is very good at the hotel. The hotel manager is great and knowledgeable . The pool was real nice, large and has a pool bar in the pool:-) The paintings in the libby area and hallways were painted by. A local. Do beautiful , we bought one. We recommend this hotel, maybe a couple of camels surrounding the tranquil area can complete this oasis!

We stayed here for a week as a family of four with two older teenaged 18 & 16 and overall had a really lovely stay. We booked two Junior Suites with pool views, which were stunning. The rooms were next to each other, with our children in a twin room and us in a double. Both rooms were spacious, very clean and had everything we needed, including a small balcony overlooking the pool area. The minibar was quite expensive so we didn’t use it, but tea and coffee facilities were provided. Breakfast was one of the highlights. There was a really good selection every morning, with pastries, croissants, cakes, fruit, eggs, pancakes and plenty of hot and cold options. Our older teenage son rarely made it down for breakfast, but we were able to take him a plate of croissants and jam back to the room each morning, which was never an issue. The pool area was beautiful and very relaxing. There were always plenty of sunbeds and towels available, and we really liked being able to scan the QR code from the sunlounger and order food and drinks directly from the pool bar. We also used the spa, which was lovely and very peaceful. The only small criticism would be that the indoor pool could have been a little warmer. All of the staff were excellent throughout our stay. The concierge team, reception staff, waiters and bar staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We particularly enjoyed having drinks on the terrace in the evenings, where the service was always very good. We ate dinner in the hotel once. It was quite expensive, but the atmosphere was lovely, the food was good and the service was excellent. The main thing to be aware of is the location. The hotel really is quite isolated, although we knew this before booking. We hired a car for the entire week and would definitely recommend doing the same if you want to explore or eat away from the hotel. We used the car most evenings as well as for day trips. There are some nice restaurants in the surrounding towns, although we found the choice of more upmarket restaurants fairly limited locally. We also drove around 30 minutes to Marsala, where there were more restaurants and places to explore. We also used the hotel’s complimentary beach club for an afternoon. - 20min drive away. The setting was pleasant, but for us this was the one area that didn’t quite match the five-star standard of the hotel itself. The beach is fairly small and we found the beach club staff much less attentive than the team at the hotel. As we only spent one afternoon there it didn’t really affect our stay, but if you are planning to spend a lot of time at the beach it is worth bearing in mind. Another nice touch was on our final day. We asked if it would be possible to have a later checkout until 2pm and this was arranged with no problem at all. It was really helpful and meant we could enjoy our last morning without feeling rushed, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a fantastic family holiday. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained, with lovely rooms, a great pool area, an excellent breakfast and genuinely attentive staff. It is an ideal place if you want somewhere luxurious to relax and use as a base for exploring this part of Sicily. I would definitely recommend hiring a car, as it gives you the freedom to explore the surrounding towns, restaurants and attractions and makes the location of the hotel far less of an issue. The hotel also offers a valet service, which is a really nice added touch and makes the whole experience even more convenient. We would happily stay here again.

We chose Almar for two nights mainly because of its proximity to the Museo del Satiro, and because it is presented as a comfortable luxury hotel, even if the property itself feels a bit dated. The rooms are spacious, which is a positive point. However, for a five-star hotel today, small details matter. There were no USB charging outlets in the room, which nowadays should be standard. The main problem was the air conditioning. On our first night, the AC did not work. In hot weather, this should be the number one item on a room checklist before guests arrive. A five-star hotel should never assign a room without confirming that the AC is functioning properly. After a long and frustrating struggle, we were finally moved to another room after midnight. That completely ruined the stay. Instead of relaxing, we had to pack, unpack, move rooms, and lose a proper night’s sleep. For a two-night stay, one bad night is not a small issue; it affects the entire experience. At check-out, we also witnessed a very disturbing incident involving another guest allegedly being robbed by another guest. The police had to come. It felt like something out of Netflix, but not in a good way. Between the AC failure and the apparent lack of security, the experience felt more like the Wild West than a luxury hotel. We wrote to management requesting a refund for one night. Instead, they offered a discount on a future stay. Unfortunately, after this experience, a future stay with an expiration date is not to kind. God bless Aman — now and forever."

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The service was excellent, the staff was kind and professional, and the food was outstanding. The food at the pool was also delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to Chef Gianfranco for the wonderful food, great flavors, and the care and attention invested in every detail. We would be very happy to return again.
