Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Megeve

The place of dreams

We stayed at the hotel in early March as a group of friends. It’s been a few years since I’ve travelled to a four seasons and it’s everything I remembered. The staff treat you like a rockstar even if you don’t look like one. Every single aspect of our trip was supported and covered to perfection, from the breakfast staff, to the concierge, the ski shop and front desk they are all beautiful human beings, human, real and at the very top of their craft. Not once did they put a foot wrong. I damaged my phone upon arrival in Geneva and within an hour at the hotel they had a solution to get it fixed for me whilst I was on the slopes. Their restaurant reservations were perfect and very fitting for occasion. As beautiful as the hotel restaurants are, I would recommend going into the local village at least one night as it’s very quaint and the restaurants have a wonderful vibe and nice to walk around outside after a hard day skiing. In terms of facilities, and rooms, please do no worry we had one of the smallest rooms and was fabulous, it’s been a while since I slept so well. In regards to the skiing, I was very surprised at the quality of skiing, it’s been years since I’ve found such impeccable conditions especially in March. They comb and groom the slopes every night plus the ski in ski out facility at the hotel works like a dream. This is a fairly quiet facility perfect if you want some privacy and to get away from the crowds of more tourist areas. I thought it may have been too quiet for me but loved every minute and can’t wait to go back. I’d give it 7 stars if I could. First class

Booked dinner….arrived and was told we had to sit on stools at a counter. very smiling staff where so sorry that the booking wasn’t acceptable but take it or leave it. its 8.00 pm on a freezing night…. Offered the casual dinning room…very attentive waiter … food only 3 star 10 chefs and my chicken was like undercooked rubber…. And I tasted the difference between what my wife ordered and I received ( same choice)But I got a free coffee In my younger days I’d have a row but now … brother it’s your arrogant smiling loss. It shows you how easy it is to screw up a good brand….we will never use 4 seasons facilities anywhere. Young staff feel if they are smiling and “ oh I’m so sorry” that’s that is the end of the matter… well it isn’t…they have lost two high rollers that travel off peak…. For ever ….you only screw us once. Never let any client walk out unhappy they talk bad about you for ever.

Customer service issue from front desk managment .

Hotel personnel are sweet and up to fs high standard .. we were greeted nicely by front desk team and tgier manager .. the theme decoration of hotel is beautifully aligned with the geography of the area.. Beautiful children amenities in the rooms and snacks .. Food Amazing asian restaurant a must in megeve.. Breakfast needs little improvement . Downside of our stay We booked through the hotel the dog sledge experience at 4 pm for my kids 13, 10, 3 years old .. we arrived 4:10 , We saw 2 sledges one with a family The other with two nannies and a toddler (Which was basically our booked sledge)! The two employees completely ignored us . We waited quietly . When it was 4:16 i sent a message to the hotel to talk to them since the workers ignored us . Hotel replied: “concierge will revert to you back soon “ I waited again then asked the employee A About our sledge? She replied:”We go and come back!” I said :OK! 👍🏼 We waited in the cold with the children and toddler. The sledge with nannies came earlier Employee B said “ you’re late , u will not ride u came after 4:15 . And i didnt see you . And the other employee who told u that we will ho and come back doest know english! “ Lies after lies ! I said we arrived 4:10! Im walking with a toddler it took more time . I understand im late but grace period is 15 min . If i arrived 4:15 i understand to cancel our trip! She said “ u can talk , meaning nothing is changing . I went back cried for two hrs . For this attitude and lies disrespect disgusting behavior. Front desc manager when calling the owner of that buisness replied that his employee claimed i arrived 4:20 . Lied again this time to her boss . Then front desc manager thought not charging me for the activity was the most generous act to do .. That was an insult . Claiming its a external activity which was just next door to them . I left furious with the way handled .. telling me in france germany timing is important . And they will handle it internally. As if this is a Factory not a Hotel with a customer that was insulted ! No gesture was offered . If it was me i would offer a spa treatment for a customer that was crying for two hrs! 100% I wouldn’t take it as i have no time for it , just the gesture would have swept the the anger ! She offered that housekeeping to fill me the bath .. im not staying in a 3 star hotel thats what she made me feel .

Four seasons just keeps getting worse everywhere

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I've seen 3 star hotels that are better than this four seasons... an absolute disaster at 6,000 euro per night... First of all, the rooms are dated and run down. The windows leak a lot of cold air into the suite. It is cold inside and even the heating does not work well. Every breakfast I ordered to the room came cold and order entirely wrong. Not a single wood fire chimney in the entire hotel... this is a real joke to say the least. The smoking room is located outside of the hotel technically and it is freezing there. Impossible to enjoy a cigar. The bar area has very few seats and every day it is full of clients and there is nowhere to sit. The spa is also a disgrace. The outside pool is freezing cold, the saunas are located in the bathrooms that look like hospital rooms. I wish I could have my money back.

Four Seasons Megeve

This property is outstanding. My wife and I traveled to ski (Jan 2025). As always, we reserved using the AMEX FHR. We were upgraded to a phenomenal stylish suite overlooking the front of the hotel and the slopes. The room was one of the best we have experienced with all modern conveniences enhanced with contemporary art throughout. The property is fairly intimate. We took advantage of the on-site ski concierge. The property is ski-in, ski-out although it took us a day to figure out the layout properly to ski back in to the hotel (the route back was not marked). We had an automobile so were able to drive to some of the Michelin restaurants in nearby towns. As always with a Four Seasons property, the staff were excellent during all interactions, including valet, front desk, ski concierge, and dining. One evening we were unprepared for dinner and the hotel accommodated us quickly with a reservation to its own Kaito restaurant. The breakfast buffet was excellent with high quality products. Thank you, FS Megeve for a memorable stay. This property is a jewel. We will certainly return when skiing Megeve again.
