Stayed overnight at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne last week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were really looked after very well with a late check out and a bottle of bubbly 🍾 to celebrate the occasion. The ladies at the front desk were amazing especially Scarlet. We had an amazing room on the 33rd floor with access to the lounge. The atmosphere was welcoming and homely. We dined at the Collins restaurant and the food fitted the occasion. Thanks to everyone in the hotel for making our stay memorable. We will definitely be back.

There are no negatives. We had been staying at the Langham for 13 yrs. But that’s gone down hill. We decided to try the Grand Hyatt and we were not disappointed. The hotel is modern and bright. We ate at Collins Restaurant for breakfast which was delicious and the choices unbelievable. We also had dinner there and it was delicious. Our room category Grand Hyatt Suite. We were not disappointed and it was value for money. We also received a complimentary bottle of red wine which was a lovely gesture as we weren’t expecting this gesture. I asked for the coffee mugs & the UHT milk to be removed & replaced with traditional tea cups & saucers & for regular full cream milk. This was done before our arrival by housekeeper 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Thank you. We also had lounge access for our three night stay. Haley was a star. 🌟. Haley greeted us with a big warm smile and was the perfect hostess as this was our first time accessing the lounge. Haley explained it to us. Our experience in the Lounge was lovely and both Haley & James certainly make you feel welcomed. We will certainly be staying at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne when next in Melbourne. All of the staff whom we came into contact with were very professional, but friendly & approachable. It’s the Staff that make the hotel.

Pleasant stay, very central great reception, room was clean and sufficient. Some parts seem oldish, but fine. Have eaten at Collins Kitchen before but not this time. Collins Kitchen is very nice too in last experience

I used to stay at Room 3112 & 2811 on behalf my dad’s company SCOR Adrian MAK, Yonico Martatino. this time I would like to take a moment to recognise an exceptional member of your Collins Kitchen team, Mr. gorgeous Elthon Jose. During our recent dinner at Collins Kitchen, my aunty, her husband, her daughter& I were genuinely impressed by the remarkable service provided by Elthon. In over two decades of staying and dining at luxury hotels around the world, it is rare to encounter someone who consistently delivers hospitality at such an exemplary level. From the moment we arrived, Elthon’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine warmth elevated our entire dining experience Dang 🔥 His knowledge of the menu was exceptional, and he took the time to explain every dish in detail, including ingredients, preparation methods, flavour profiles, & recommendations tailored to our preferencessz. In fact, approximately 80% of our selections were based on Elthon’s recommendations, and every single recommendation exceeded our expectations. His ability to build rapport so naturally made us feel welcomed, valued, & genuinely cared for throughout the evening. We even jokingly referred to him as “Elton John” throughout the night because of his memorable personality & positive energy, Xo xo xo What stood out most was that Elthon was not merely serving food; he was creating an experience. He demonstrated the very best of Hyatt’s hospitality culture through his attentiveness, oi, it’s also emotional CONNECTION, product knowledge, confidence, authenticity, and sincere desire to ensure every guest left delighted. As someone who regularly provides guest experience feedback & follows hospitality standards closely, I can confidently say that team members like Elthon are the reason guests become loyal advocates of a hotel brand. If I were completing an NPS survey, Elthon’s service would unquestionably receive a perfect 10/10 recommendation score. Likewise, his contribution significantly enhances guest retention, repeat patronage, positive online reputation, and overall guest satisfaction. His ability to connect with my big family, your guests, ur clientele, anticipate needs, personalise recommendations, & make dining genuinely enjoyable reflects leadership potential beyond his current role. These are qualities that cannot easily be taught and are increasingly valuable in luxury hospitality. I strongly believe Elthon possesses the qualities of a future leader within Hyatt. His service standards, guest engagement skills, commercial awareness, & passion for hospitality clearly distinguish him from many peers in the industry. He would be an excellent candidate for leadership development opportunities, increased responsibilities & uh consideration for promotion to a higher job grade or classification when appropriate. Please extend my sincere appreciation to Elthon. He is a shining ambassador for Collins Kitchen, Grand Hyatt Melbourne & the Hyatt brand as a whole. Team members like him deserve to be celebrated, recognized, & supported in their professional growth.
