Grand Hyatt Melbourne

Excellent service, immaculate & clean room, a wide variety for buffet breakfast. We were upgraded to a Grand King room. I was woken up many times during the night with children screaming and doors banging from the other rooms, and being up on the 32nd floor we could still hear the traffic on street level. The gym is a very tired looking and poorly lit environment. Has a depressing feel about it. A very wide variety of exercise equipment. An excellent base to stay at the Grand Hyatt if you are planning to stay in Melbourne.

The hotel location is very good and central but the rooms are very tired and could do with a good Spring Clean in a place or two. No welcome drinks, personal touches throughout our stay. The swimming pool is also very basic and could do with a re-vamp. We’ve been travelling around New Zealand and Australia for a month and stayed in ten different hotels but this one was ranked 10th . Ending on a positive note, the breakfasts were very extensive and had excellent choice’s

Great hotel highly recommend Location excellent - walk to everything. Nice solid beds and rooms. Our a/c was a little weak during hot spell. Do club access breakfast food and evening drinks great. Gym is excellent - partners with outside gym, is huge, rarely crowded and has steam, sauna and indoor pool and hot tub. Gym has multiple huge workout/stretch rooms, a spin studio, 2 peloton bikes and tons of equipment.

Overpriced, noisy rooms and pipes, thin walls, loud banging doors and long waits for the elevator, along with poor customer service. Feels like they are waiting to close down and renovate. Lack of refinement.

Great central location. Near trams. Room very nice. River view spectacular. Restaurant had lovely service even when we just wanted coffee. Excellent ice cream!
