A good stay in a central location
After a disappointing stay at a Sydney hotel, I was worried about this one, but needn’t have been. The hotel was really good. Really nice rooms with a city view, comfortable beds, lots of amenities in a central location. Staff were friendly. Room service food was really good. Easy check in and check out process. If you’re looking for a good stay in central Melbourne, this is a good choice.

Very relaxing and comfortable stay in a suite.
Gr8 staff. Overall enjoyed our 5 day stay very much with good food in the restaurant and very attentive staff. Breakfast in the club lounge was also good with staff responding to our requests in a very polite and friendly manner.

Surly staff at front desk, tired old room and tepid bath water_horibbly over-priced
Surly receptionist who didn't say welcome or crack a smile (needs to take a course at charm school). Wouldn't make an effort to see if the cafe was open (I was running late) - she walked to the cafe and I heard the conversation she had with the bar tender "hope she doesn't get the sxxxxxs". The room was old, carpet tearing in corner, bath water didn't run hot, outrageously expensive. Can say that the breakfast was great and staff were polite and helpful. I won't be back and i certainly won't recommend.

Club Lounge looses it due to Cost Cutting
This hotel is ok but for the money they need to invest in new beds. The club lounge used to be one of the best but now they don't do Check in or checkout there and the staff seem to care very little for the guests. The staff do not control noisy kids in the lounge. Ban kids after 6pm, they don't need to be there. The club lounge hot portion of the breakfast is almost cold, they charge $25 per person to go down stairs for the full buffet, maybe that is their motive here. Get some decent food warmers. It was very disappointing as it used to be so good, we wont be back , too many other better options now.

Amazing Hyatt stayed here a number of times, with a variety of rooms, and continues to set the pace in melbs. Front door staff are great, and arguably the best waiting staff in Australia. They actually wait tables in the traditional and correct manner. Breakfast tops at either the club of collins kitchen. Dinner at Collins was a wow moment. Thanks team.
