Grand Hyatt Melbourne

I usually stay here when travelling for work, but this visit was disappointing. The property felt a bit dated, and the sound of water travelling through pipes was loud and occurred at random times, making it difficult to sleep. Felt like a low budget motel with all the noise.

This was the most incredible hotel experience we've ever had. I booked the stay for my wife's birthday and the standard well exceeded anything we could have imagined. Firstly, Hannah who checked me in did an amazing job, even though she's still in training she was extremely attentive & informative without any assistance; even offering some nearby bar suggestions. The room upgrade to a city view was simply breathtaking and we spent most of our stay just watching the world go by, it was so peaceful. The marble finishings in the bathroom & Balmain amenities are beautiful touches but the showstopper was definitely your breakfast. We couldn't pick our jaws off of the floor with the vast variety of fresh, healthy, made-to-order options that you had available. I've never had 3 breakfasts in a day but I certainly made an exception! The waffle that was made for me was perfect, the immune juices were to die for and i couldn't thank the team enough for the extra mile they went again with making my wife a special birthday plate. Everything was truly 10/10, we only wish we could have stayed longer.

A great hotel, friendly and efficient staff. Great location that’s hard to beat. For a quick business trip or weekend getaway is hard to find fault. My only complaint would be that you can’t cast from an Apple device onto a TV, which I always look for.

Great hotel but the only criticism I have is they charge you more than what the actual website shows. I chose the City Escape Package which on the website its showing $350 but I was quoted $400 for 1st night then$455 for the 2nd night.

Our Melbourne Favourite – Consistently Excellent We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times, and it never disappoints. The quality and service are always consistent, which is why we keep coming back — we’re already booked again in two weeks! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Melbourne with everything you could need close by: amazing cafés, top restaurants, theatres, and fantastic shopping. Highly recommended!
