Grand Hyatt Melbourne

Anyway…chose the Grand Hyatt Melbourne for a business meeting and I need to give honest feedback as a World of Hyatt member. First impressions? Beautiful. The main entrance reminded me of luxury hotels I’ve experienced during NYC Fashion Week. Haha the concierge was helpful when I got lost…getting lost in the CBD happens to me easily even with GPS 😂 Guest services: Excellent. Kind, professional, took my information to coordinate my meeting seamlessly. The restaurant space itself? Beautifully decorated. But here’s where everything shifted… When our server brought waters to the table, she passive-aggressively slammed them down…hard enough that water spilled out of the glasses. Startled me mid-conversation. Listen I am a firm believer: “how you handle one thing is how you handle everything”. So I politely declined to order food or drink the water. The aesthetics and front-desk service were exceptional. But that restaurant service moment…it detracts from what should have been a seamless luxury experience. Grand Hyatt Melbourne has the bones of excellence. The restaurant service needs to match the standard the rest of the property sets. Honest feedback from someone who values the brand. 💜

Grand Hyatt Melbourne is a fantastic place to stay for a family holiday. Location is great, can walk to lost locations within 15 minutes, otherwise the tram isn’t far. Service is excellent. Rooms well maintained and super clean and modern. Definitely recommend!

Friendly staff, good food and services. The valet parking was so convenient to not worry about parking your car in the busy city. Close to all amenities and major city attractions, restaurants of different cuisine.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our weekend stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff were remarkably gracious and genuinely happy to help, making us feel truly welcome. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, with modern furniture that added a stylish and comfortable touch. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. I will definitely be returning and will happily book other Hyatt hotels in the future. Highly recommended!

Checked into one of the club rooms - rooms are a bit dated - arrived at the lounge for happy hour but they did not have enough food to cater for the crowd - very disappointed !!!
