DID NOT LIVE UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS AT ALL
Aesthetically a beautiful hotel on entry. The foyer, the flowers, and the staff are very friendly. You are paying top dollar from your room to the bars to the restaurants. I absolutely do not think this hotel is a 5 star, of which they proclaim to be. Day 1 came back to room at 3pm n it had not been serviced. Phoned front desk. Lots of “sorries” n would you like your room done now? No. We’re resting. Staff did not have the foresight to bring clean towels, tea and milk. Phoned again. Came with all our requirements quickly but did not think to remove used towels. Numerous phone calls later that day to specify we needed our room serviced the following day between certain hours, due to our social engagements. Received a note under our door early that morning, not between the hours I had asked for, and again more phone calls. Ridiculous. Staff are very young n obviously not well trained in true customer service. They are very well versed however in saying “sorry”. No. This doesn’t cut it with me. If I was staying in a 2 or 3 star I wouldn’t question the poor service. However, when one is paying premium dollar for a room, drinks and food I expect premium service. You don’t get it at The Langham. Highly over rated and over priced. I must say though Ray, one of the doorman, is wonderful. He’s a credit to the hotel and The Langham is lucky to have him on staff. Australian Open visit
Loved the comfort of and outlook from the room. We enjoyed the beauty and ambience of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the staff made our stay very enjoyable.

Great Location for the Open
This hotel was an easy walk to the open grounds. There was lots of dining and shopping areas within walking distance. The rooms were very traditional. The spa area and pool looked great, but we did not have time to use though amenities.
