The Langham, Melbourne

We booked two interconnecting rooms for my daughters 16th bday. It had been 12 years since my last stay and whilst the room decor hasnt changed, it still looks clean and classic. Staff service was excellent. They delivered a bday cupcake for my daughter. I loved the free tea available in the pool area. Wont wait so long to stay there again!

Safe. As a solo woman, I always feel cocooned by Langham's familiarity. Serene. The flowers may change, but the ambience of calm remains. Sated. Delicious and bountiful food, beautifully presented. Slept. Perfect linens, comfy beds, wonderful pillows. Seen. All staff treating me with respect. Secure. The beauty of Melbourne's Langham is it's close proximity to my favoourite cultural places.

Best hotel to stsy in Melbourne. Service was first class, very helpfull staff. I have and will do again, only stay at this hotel, and have told friends and family to always book into the Langham.

This was my wife and I first time in Melbourne and first time staying in a Langham Hotel. We had booked a 6 day stay in an Executive Corner Room on Level 17. On arrival to our room there was no toilet paper either on the holders or spare rolls in the bathroom cupboard. This was resolved quickly by phoning Room Services and replenished with plenty of apologies. Then a few hours later after returning back to our room after dinner, by then the sun had set, we found three of our five room lights not working. (Floor, desk and one bedside) So another phone call to Room Services, this led to being transferred to the Duty Manager at front desk. He has very apologetic after my rant of my expectations of staying in a 5 Star hotel, how could you present a room with no toilet paper and three out of five room lights not working. To resolve the issue at 9.30pm, I was given an upgrade to a Suite on Level 22 with the same city and river views. A staff member was sent up to provide us with new room access cards and assist with the transfer of a luggage to our new room. We had no issues with the suite, it was lovely, very spacious and everything worked and fully stocked. There was definitely a failure by Housekeeping that day, someone not following a procedural checklist to ensure all room electricals and amenities were working and items fully stocked before passing it off as complete.
