The Langham, Melbourne

Our four nights stay at The Langham, Melbourne was wonderful. The riverview room was a sanctuary of elegance & luxury. All the staff are extremely friendly & helpful & the breakfast at Melba's was excellent & extensive.

This stay was for our wedding, we were congratulated and welcomed by every single staff member which made the stay live up to its 5 star hotel status

The location of the hotel is excellent at the bridge over Yarra river connecting it to the CBD. The rooms are super clean and comfortable with great views of the river though a they do feel a bit dated. The breakfast spread is scrumptious. The team and the service is the winner of the hotel starting the front office to the concierge desk to the bell desk and the restaurant team, everyone is all smiles and the service is prompt and efficient! Overall a great experience!

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay at this fabulous hotel. We were lucky enough to stay in a club room on the 23rd Floor. From the moment we met Luke as we entered the hotel to the moment we left - everything was exceptional. I had read comments on the reduced hours and services to the Club Lounge prior to departure and even considered changing my booking. This review will prove that you can't please everyone all the time. Yes, the Lounge doesn't open until midday and breakfast is now enjoyed in Melba Restaurant instead of the Lounge - but the variety of breakfast items on offer in Melba far surpasses the lighter offerings that were available in the Club Lounge. A huge variety - from the make your own juice bar to an egg and omlette station, a chocolate tower, pancakes - the usual hot offerings along with a myriad of delectable pastries. Hats off to the team in Melba who run the restaurant well and with a smile. The coffees are sensational - thanks John...! Recent comments as to cutbacks to what was served during the week nights during the two hour evening canape and drinks session - were unfounded in our opinion. We were in the Lounge on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening - there was absolutely more than enough (hot and cold) morsels regularly replaced. So much in fact that I'm sure some people make this their evening meal. Couldn't fault it and the staff are always wanting to 'top you up'. We had an issue with our hot water. A call by Concierge on the way out to advice and upon our return a 'sorry for the inconvenience' note and a bottle of Chandon greeted us. Can't get better than that. The bed was super comfy, plenty of pilllow options, a nespresso machine and amazing bathroom amenities, free wifi along with complimentary water bottles. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return.

Loved the view over the Yarra, service was excellent. Utilised valet parking, aria bar Melba restaurant. Happy with everything.
