Could not recommend this boutique hotel more ... 10/10
This was our 3rd stay at The Lyall in 18 months. We LOVE The Lyall it's like being in a Giorgio Armani cocoon wrapped in cashmere. Couldn't recommend it more. It's just lovely sitting on the terrace with a pot of tea or a drink. On cold days in the beautiful living room common area. I've gone solo once, family (3 rooms) and just as a couple and couldn't be more comfortable regardless.

Wonderful local stay
Fabulous stay. We are locals but needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights. Could not have chosen better. Great location near Toorak Road. A drink on the terrace late afternoon was great. All Lyall team were exception.

An elegant small hotel in a perfect l;ocation
This is the perfect quiet and sophisticated hotel experience in southern Melbourne. Easy access to quality restaurants and the city. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and would highly recommend staying at the Lyall.

Classy, comfy and homey all at once
My sister and I are delighted with our 11-night stay at the Lyall. Not only are the rooms comfortable but the lounge is so inviting that each time we returned, we automatically draped ourselves on one of the lounge seats. It's such a luxury to be able to order drinks or complimentary water until 9pm to be served at the lounge. We specially picked the Lyall for its scenic and convenient location in South Yarra. Train station and tram stop is a short walk away and helpful reception staff are available to call a cab or uber. The hotel's proximity to shops, eateries and the Prahran Market is second to none. We will not hesitate t check into the Lyall on our next visit to Melbourne.
