I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was in room 1631. Beds were dreamy. Bathroom great with lovely toiletries. I loved the big bath - and the bath salts. The hotel is very busy but once in your room its exceptionally quiet. Added to that, an electric blind to help with light I slept so well. Reception area is lovely and not sure what air fragrance they use but the lobby area smells divine. Room service was fantastic on the two occasions I had it. Very reasonable in cost and simply delicious. Small shop for nibbles a few feet away from hotel and easy walkable access to many restaurants nearby. I'd definitely return if I return to Melbourne.

A beautiful room with a full wall of glass window views across the Yarra river, big wheel and cafes gave impression of a sweeping vista

Excellent stay at the Pan Pacific hotel. We booked this hotel because it is next to the Melbourne Convention centre, where my daughter was attending an event. The hotel foyer is elegant and welcoming and the staff were helpful and efficient. We arrived late in the day and our rooms, on level 7 were ready. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, everything was in excellent working order. The bed was comfortable and I liked the small 'pop-out' lights on the headboard as so many hotels lack suitable reading lights. The motorised blackout blind was great for blocking out any city light at night. The seperate toilet within the bathroom area is always a bonus. However the new trend to have doorless, 'open' shower area's is not my favourite as these can be a bit cold. Nonetheless the bathroom was lovely and the Jo Loves bath and shower products divine. There is a seperate direct elevator access to the convention centre from level one of the hotel, which is very convenient. We tried the room service and I can recommend the Caesar Salad and Club. The cafe was perfect for a quick coffee and light breakfast before heading out in the morning. We also ate at the restaurant Dock 37 and recommend the Scallops and the Olive Cake (very generous portion!). Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights from 3rd to 6th October. We originally booked a family room with river and skyline views but were alloted initially a room without the said view and we had to stay in that room for the first night that is 3rd October. When we highlighted the discrepancy, we were shifted to the room type we originally booked and we stayed at room 1230 for the rest 2 nights. Room: The new room 1230 was spacious, spotlessly clean and had an amazing river and skyline view. The most interesting part was that the gas brigade evening show by Crown Casino was clearly visible from our room. Location: The hotel's location is fabulous considering its proximity to the DFO and the southbank promenade with plenty of eating options. Breakfast: The breakfast at Dock 37 was very good and had adequate options to choose from. Staff: The hotel staff from frontdesk to breakfast to concierge to porter services had been wonderful and very nice. Jessica from frontdesk helped in smooth and fast check out so early in the morning. Also, Onur (sorry, if I misspelt the name) and Ares from concierge were very cooperative too. Points of caution: 1) We had to deposit AUD 300 at the front desk as security deposit at the time of check in for our stay for 3 nights. However, the hotel website says its AUD 100 per stay as security deposit. Not sure why we were asked for AUD 100 per night instead of per stay! On inquiring about this at reception, there was no answer to this from them! So watch out! 2) Complimentary water is only provided on request. The hotel provides reusuable bottle on day 1 for refilling water at water dispensers installed on each floor for rest of the stay. 3) There can be allotment of different rooms from rooms originally booked specially if booking is made through 3rd party apps. Like it happened with us initially on our first night of stay.

We have stayed at this hotel several times when it was under the Hilton banner. We had high hopes that our suite would be as nice as our previous visits. Unfortunately, the place had dated and repairs not done. The one and only couch in the suite was old, stained and uncomfortable. Part of the floor in the kitchen area had lifted and repaired with a piece of tape. Come on guys, this is totally unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. The views of the river and city are a key selling point of the hotel, but the windows were filthy dirty. Lighting was virtually non existent in the bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms clean.
