Wonderful Winter Stay !
An absolute gem in the heart of Melbourne—my go-to hotel! I have stayed at the Stamford Plaza Melbourne many times over the years, and it never ceases to impress. My most recent stay was absolutely flawless. Check-in was an absolute breeze with zero wait time, and as a massive bonus, my room was ready for me at midday! This time, I stayed in a Superior Queen Room, which was beautifully cosy and incredibly welcoming. Despite the hotel's central location, my room was a peaceful sanctuary—free from any outside construction or neighbour noise. It honestly felt like I had the entire floor to myself. Speaking of location, you truly cannot beat it. It sits right in the heart of Melbourne's premier shopping and fashion district, with incredible food and public transport right at your doorstep. The Stamford Plaza remains my top choice in the city, and I will definitely continue to return!

We had a great night's sleep in our cosy room and really enjoyed the breakfast. However, the property feels outdated compared to its past glamour under the Stamford name. The bathroom requires urgent attention due to some mould issues. While it is rated as a 5-star hotel, we found that local 3-star CBD options offer much better value, lower prices, and superior amenities. Harry's Restaurant is great for breakfast, but our evening drinks experience was disappointing. Despite a quiet bar and clarifying our order three times (which was correct on the receipt), our simple spirits and mixers took 15 minutes to arrive and were served incorrectly twice.

Nice hotel and facilities, good location, clean rooms. No concierge service, no porter service, under staffed reservations desk. Atmosphere is absent. Nobody makes you feel welcome. It's like "We're Stamford we're pretty, we have 5 stars, be thankful you're here. Did you use the mini bar?" Behind the chrome and glass, nothing special.

Great hotel.
Great location and staff. The buffet breakfast was a great inclusion. Room was nice and week appointed, the glass lifts were fun, the kids loved that and the pool and spa. Great gym and we enjoyed cocktails in Harry’s bar. Will definitely stay again.
