Underwhelming 5 star experience
Thought I'd treat myself to a few days here at the end of my stay in Melbourne - but wouldn't do it again. The rooms are sadly lacking in being looked after, it was like staying in a bad rental. Bathroom fittings falling off the wall, wardrobe door falling off its hinges so it wouldn't open or close, so few dishes to use in the "kitchenette" it was laughable - and if you're going to use the spa, get ready to pick up the loose tiles from under your feet - just sad

Great CBD hotel
Great central location with parking facilities. Clean rooms with great layouts. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Highly recommend.

Disappointing!
Whilst the hotel is well located, it does not warrant a 5-star rating. It is clean, and breakfast is good, however, coffee machines require an upgrade as coffee was undrinkable. We travelled with another couple and requested to stay on the same floor, apparently this was too difficult even though an email was sent a few weeks prior to our stay and also requested verbally. It was just ignored.

Stamford Plaza Hotel GTG!
Great room, probably one of the cleanest ive stayed at in Melbourne. They had a full sized ironing board and brand new iron, which i needed for a function. The room was surprisingly quiet. Had a great stay.
