W Melbourne

I took my children here for a holiday as a present for my son’s birthday. The staff went well above our expectations with their service. Decorating the room and providing cake and drinks. Made him feel very special. Thank you.

We had a fantastic experience at W Melbourne. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, friendly, professional, and attentive. The team went out of their way to make our kids feel welcome, and they absolutely loved the vibrant atmosphere. We also booked the Paw Package for our cavoodle, and it was a brilliant addition, treats, a bed, and bowls were all thoughtfully provided. The hotel is stylish and full of energy, yet still family and pet-friendly. A big thank you to the amazing staff who made our stay so memorable. Highly recommend!

Stay was fairly average, really had high hopes for this hotel given the brand. But it was not luxury, if anything it was rather mediocre. Comparing with W across the globe, this was the worst. But I have to admit that front desk service was fantastic, but at time. The front desk was always very chaotic, not enough people during peak period and very messy. Bags and people everywhere. Small lobby. Another thing, no 24 hours in room dining, you may for delivery fee in the hotel? And a crazy amount too, might as well order from uber eats. No 24 hours housekeeping, I was told after 5pm no service was available? So you settle for the room not being serviced after swimming bath. Service at Lollo was the opposite, staff was not friendly at all. Breakfast was also chaotic. Plates not cleared timely, most of the items on the buffet line were almost gone and no one was replenishing it. Staff was just purely rude and unbothered. Valet parking was another disaster, you pay $80 and wait 20 minutes. The staff at the front desk was nice, she came to check in and followed up on the car but still had to wait. Would rather have self service parking. Room view is another let down but yes I know, location is right in the middle of the city but even Vibe hotel a meh brand seems to have a better view. Convenient location though, I give it that. All in all, would not choose to stay at this W. Would rather book in for the ritz and pay more. Comparing to W hotels across the globe - Hong Kong, Bali, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney and Brisbane. This was just an average hotel at best, no worth the nightly room rate.

High end hotel in the heart of Melbourne. The rooms are nice, the internet speed is great and service is amazing, got free upgrade thanks to AMEX, including an extra upgrade for my second night.

We chose to return to the W after a relatively good experience previously. Overall the service remains impeccable and we were grateful to be upgraded to a bigger room this time with our status. We also tried to onakase and warabi this time and it was generally a pleasant experience However 2 things did bother me: 1) the breakfast was a big down grade from the a la carte options that were previously available. The selection was blend and the only saving grace was made to order eggs. Disappointing as the breakfast was one of the highlights previously. Seems like a big cost cutting measure 2) Valet parking fees went up - 80 a day is pretty steep but the service again was awesome. Notwithstanding do not bother calling for your car as the message is often not relayed to the valet and you end up waiting anyway
