W Melbourne with its rebellious Flinders Lane address takes its design cues from the streets of Australia's cultural capital, holding the back-lane entrance keys to what's new/next in the city CBD. Revealing a playground where the early risers to the late-night revellers can turn up the tracks. Extending the laneway culture in, 294 bold hotel rooms and suites peel back the layers and revel in the city's history.

We had a really good trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at W Melbourne! The location couldn't be more convenient. It’s an easy, walkable distance to the main shopping area, Sea Life Aquarium, Crown Casino, and Outlet mall—which had a great bunch of stores to check out. The rooms are quite nice and surprisingly huge, featuring that cool, unique W decor. From check-in to check-out, everything was absolutely perfect, and the entire team was super nice and welcoming. The only thing is the breakfast buffer selection needs a little work. Not many choices compared to others. Dont get me wrong, it is still delicious and lots to eat. But only wish there are more varieties. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The W is a newish property in Melbourne and we had a memorable stay for three nights. The Suite for three was exceptionally large for a city hotel. The bathroom too was large and spacious.. the special being the saluting pot!! It was.very well located... all the main restaurants and shopping areas were 10 minutes away. The breakfast buffet spread was good and so was the service. A great place to stay in Melbourne.

This is a funky up-market hotel with some nice quirks about the rooms, including the random multi-function toilet that turned on everytime I walked in the bathroom !!! the location is pretty convenient and the staff were nice.. things are a bit pricey , but that's part of the vibe.

My first stay at W Melbourne was back at the start of the year and I’m now a frequent stayer here for stay cations and I’ll tell you why! The highlight of this place is the staff members that work here. I’m now on my fourth stay and since the second stay they always remember my name and little things I’ve mentioned- talk about an eye to detail! I was checked in today by a lovely young man who not only remembers me from my last stay- but he also made recommendations about W Sydney and even provided some vouchers for a free dessert and cheese platter to redeem during my stay! This just add to the overall experience of staying here- while the W brand is considered part of Marriott’s luxury brand, where the W Melbourne exceeds is that it is luxury without being ostentatious- dark carpets with splashes of bright wall furnishings make this an awesome place to stay. The rooms are always clean and tidy on every stay and the bathrooms are nicely appointed- the bath is a very handy feature and quite frankly is much better than the one at Crown Towers. In terms of amenities, the pool/gym floor (known as Wet for the pool and Fit for the gym) is spacious; an indoor pool that becomes adults only after 1900 and also has a steam room. They’re also open 24 hours which is a nice touch. Food wise I’ve only had breakfast here at Lollo which has always been quite nice- while it’s a Buffett style breakfast don’t expect your “normal” type- yes there’s pastries etc, but there’s also enough variety of other things to make it stand out. If you can, W Melbourne is a nice place to stay and loyalty pays off in the small touches- I’m probably going to stay here for all my staycations and not Crown Towers

We were fortunate to be upgraded on account of status from a base level room here to one of the penthouse suites, and these were massive. But one thing all rooms include is a supremely comfortable bed, soundproofing and electrically controlled blinds and well located light switches. The facilities are worth a shout, with the pool area looking even better in person than in the photos, open 24 hours, with colour changing lights within the pool. It was very large and great for laps, heated and felt like a good example of the modern day W brand with its trendiness. This pool was probably one of the nicest city hotel pools I have seen. There is also a steam room and a well equipped gym on the same floor. Staff were very friendly, offering great service and following up with recommendations for restaurants when we asked. We also tried one of the casual restaurants and room service, both of which were good.
