Nice Hotel that is a well located. Rooms are a little small but nice clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are large. Espresso maker is a nice touch. Room service is great. Hotel is right on flinders street very close many restaurants in the CBD. Staff was great as well.

Excellent location right in the heart of the city . Can walk to most places especially the restaurants in Flinders lane. Check in was quick, efficient and loved the warm cookies . A water bottle was given on check in to refill at the bar when required. Great way to reduce waste. The location of our room was excellent with a view of the clock building and the docklands area. WE even were lucky to view the fire works for the 2 nights of our stay . Room was clean , staff were polite and ensured to check up on us being Silver Marriott members. Would recommend to everyone who want to stay centrally in Melbourne with trams located just a few minutes’ walk away.

The location of the hotel is amazing and convenient. Even though,I had a room that was a bit different as it didnt have a window due to their high occupancy. The staffs were friendly and helpful.Thank you for making my 1 week holiday at Melbourne a memorable stay. I know i will be back.

Have now stayed in those hotel around 6 times over the past 2 years. It is perfectly located for Flinders Street Station and both the Elizabeth and Flinders Street Tram lines. I have never had a room with a view, only the brick wall or windows of the building on either side. It is not a cheap hotel, but would say mid-range for what you get. The rooms are comfortable as far as bed, bathroom and amenities are concerned. The air-conditioning is good. The TV service is local only. So if you are looking for international news, such as BBC or CNN, you will be disappointed. The TV service also drops out for a 5-10 seconds frequently. The biggest negatives for me, is that it is not a "Business" friendly hotel. The chair in the room is very uncomfortable and not ergonomic for a work day. The Internet performance is appalling, worst of any hotel I have stayed. The average download and upload speeds is about 2.5Mbps. Irrespective of the time of day. It was so bad, it was costing me about 1 hour a day in productivity. Just doing iPhone App updates could take 10 minutes. Would hate to think how long it would take to do an iOS update. The frustration for being able to work got so bad for me, I checked out 9 days early. On the positive side, great restaurant. Service and food were both excellent. The bar, while small and stools uncomfortable make great drinks. I would highly recommend the "Drunken Cookie". The staff, especially the Front Desk and Joseph from Housekeeping are all excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Would go back for social reasons, but not for business, if working in the hotel for any length of time. Yes, I did tell them about the Internet performance on previous visits, which obviously fell on deaf ears.

I booked one of the high floor River views (1201) View was terrific just wish the windows were cleaned. Day I arrived it was very warm and there was some problem with the ac in my room. Sela was very receptive to my concerns and offered fans, which helped, until maintenance could identify the problem and we could see if I needed a room change. By the next day the temp dropped and it was no longer an issue. Staff were all very friendly and went out of way to help helpful and answer questions. The rooms are not really soundproof, street and train station, music performances, hallway, and even from other rooms so factor that in to your decisions. I would stay here again. It is a great location and a good base for getting around. Bathroom is a bit cramped and shower gets messy unless you aim well but the pressure and temp were good. Bed was pretty comfortable but not the greatest.
