Nice room but on the small side. To have a river view we really don’t have a clear view of it. Train station right in front of us. Didn’t eat at hotel so I can’t comment . Front desk very nice . The gentleman’s name ends in “gar” super nice. Location is great. Tour great - food tasting . The art here is so unique. We would come back

Stayed for 4 nights over the AFL Grand Final weekend. Received an early check-in which was fantastic. My room (King Skyline River View) on 8th floor had a brilliant view over Flinders St station, Southbank and down towards the MCG. Room had everything you need and although not huge, felt very spacious. All the staff I encountered from the front desk to the restaurant for breakfast were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast buffet was great with many options. Close the great restaurants, chemist and supermarket to get any snacks or things you may forget. Trams going all over Melbourne either out the front or short walk. Flinders St station across the road also. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I had an excellent experience. Being granted a 1-hour early check-in was a nice surprise and helped me out a lot. The quality and delivery timing of the food for in-room dining was fantastic. Breakfast was a little old (as any buffet is, so no lost points here) but the selection was great for the price and it tasted amazing. I expected a lot more noise given my windows faced Flinders St Station but the only thing I heard all night was the odd emergency services siren. Room and bathroom was perfectly clean, no issues there. All staff were very friendly, and I can't remember the staff member's name (maybe Hannah?) but someone helped me when I was placing my food tray outside my door and accidentally locked myself out... I really appreciated her help! Price for a king room facing Flinders St Station wasn't too bad either. Overall given the quality of the room, food, staff and location I will definitely be back when I need to stay in the CBD again. If I were to nitpick anything, the only minor issues I had were: * Shower glass doesn't extend far enough or have a door, floor/mat gets pretty wet. * Toilet seat isn't fully fastened and popped off a couple of times. * Bottom of bathroom door has minor signs of water damage (likely from point #1) * The TV being right in front of the desk meant that when I ate my in-room dinner if I wanted to watch TV it was right in my face. * Carpet is a little old-looking. * In-room dining steak was very expensive (but to be fair, very good). Honestly though, the above issues didn't detract from my enjoyable stay at all.

Very average rooms and hotel lobby. Basic rooms have no window. Breakfast has a reasonable variety of foods. Automatic machine coffe only. Would not recommend.

I paid over $1,000 to stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Melbourne, but it was a disappointing experience. Check-in at 2pm on Sunday was delayed due to an absent, seemingly half-asleep receptionist. The first room had a poorly positioned TV with no swivel arm. After switching rooms, I found dated carpet and furniture, a paper-thin doona, and uncomfortably hard pillows. The Chromecast setup was a hassle, unlike better hotels with instant access. I was also wrongly charged for a breakfast I didn’t have. Despite a clean room and hot water, the central Flinders St location felt grotty. This hotel fell far short of expectations for the price.
