Excellent room, comfortable bed and spacious! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful in getting checked in upon arrival. The dinner was above expectations with the wait staff friendly as well. The only tiny downside was the room was a bit darker than expected once the sun went down, but it was such a subtle item noticed — and the only tiny downside.

Absolutely exceptional stay! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The room was immaculate, beautifully styled, and incredibly comfortable—especially the bed, which made for the best night’s sleep. The facilities were outstanding, with everything maintained to a very high standard. The attention to detail really stood out, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience. Dining was also a highlight—delicious food and excellent service. Overall, this hotel truly delivers on what you would expect from a five-star experience, with exceptional service and premium amenities throughout

Attended a ceremonial function. The banquet food was lovely and the staff in Food and Beverage for the event were excellent. The Twin room we were allocated was quiet and extremely well appointed. I loved the huge bath towels! The room was spotlessly clean and plenty of power USB points for chargers etc. Bed was comfortable but no pillow menu, which was disappointing because hotel pillows are awful no matter the room rate and I prefer a firm pillow. Room service was excellent - but the beverages ridiculously pricey. No ice machine available in such a huge establishment, so I had to order glasses of ice cubes because I like a COLD drink, not a chilled bottle with cool contents. The breakfast was buffet style and underwhelming for the price (except the omelettes, they were fantastic). Bring back single portion butter please - for everyone's health and safety. I watched a guy cook 6 slices of toast, use the entire slab of butter from under the glass closh and hold up the queue by spreading butter at the toast station with the only wooden paddle provided and then lick it before walking away. It's not the staff's fault, but if it's a method to manage single portions, then a different method is required because there is no accounting for other guests behaviour which affected my experience. Next time I'll just do room service or go offsite to eat.

I have stayed at most of the 5 star hotels in Melbourne and this is one of the better ones. It's a beautiful hotel with calm ambience and large rooms. Being a large hotel means you have a lot of space between you and other guests unlike the current "boutique" hotel fad which can end up making you feel like you're living on top of one another. Well trained staff and excellent food. I will be back.

very nice hotel. seems a bit off the tourist areas but not too far. be sure to use the metro service. Only real complaint is the room service for ice. 45 minutes is exceptionally slow - true for every day I stayed.
