Sea Rock Inn

My wife and I spent 4 nights to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. I can't imagine how it could have been any more wonderful. From the elegant venuesviews to the helpful friendly staff to the deliciously prepared and beautifully presented breakfasts brought to our door each morning, everything made it a getaway to remember. Nearby activities such as canoeing on the Big River, strolling through the amazing Botanic Gardens in Fort Bragg, and dining at elegant venues nearby provided one delight after another. While this was a splurge for us, it was a great value. We will return to celebrate special occasions in the future.

Dreamy cliff side retreat! Our stay at Sea Rock Inn was nothing short of magical. Nestled on the cliffs of Mendocino,there were breathtaking ocean views, cottages with cozy fireplaces. The rooms were very clean & had comfy robes. Breakfast was delivered straight to our door each morning, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The grounds were manicured flower beds and lush greenery that make every corner feel like a postcard. The peaceful ambiance of the Sea Rock Inn was wonderful. I would 100% recommend this getaway to anyone looking for rest, romance, and rejuvenation by the sea. We can’t wait to return!

You will not find a better place to stay, despite the absence of a pool, or hot tub on the premises. The staff are friendly, proficient, and complete in their explanation of the room's amenities [TV remotes, WiFi, gas fireplaces, etc.]. The breakfasts are delivered at a time (9AM or earlier) to your door. They are scrumptious, ample, and fresh fruit-filled. They make accommodations for vegetarians when you check-in. Request a view of the ocean to renourish your sense of place. Interior is wooden paneled with closet space, bathtub-in-shower and has a full set of needed appliance. That is a small refrigerator, Kurig™ coffee maker, hot water boiler, and complimentary local white wine.

The level of service and kindness from Katie, Lilah, and V is something special. For the price point, the service meets or exceeds those world class hotels that are known for incredible service but cost 2-3x more per night. The rooms are very clean, spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. The attention to detail along with the aforementioned service is just what the doctor ordered when on vacation. The grounds are highly manicured and full of flowers. The view is gorgeous. The food is perfectly customized to your liking. The hospitality is lovely. The ladies really went above and beyond for me and my mom, and honestly, that makes all the difference. Genuine, friendly, attentive, welcoming care. I would not only stay here again, I would go out of my way to stay here again. Thank you for the beautiful stay. I hope to see you all again soon. P.S. - Do NOT miss the Mendocino Botanical Gardens nearby. You will be surprised how much you enjoy this escape into nature. -Michael

We will recommend the Sea Rock Bed & Breakfast as the ONLY place to stay to anyone heading to Mendocino. From the accommodations, to the caring staff, to the lovely views and plants/flowers, and to the delicious breakfasts and all-you-can-eat brownies, they do a superlative job.
