Yucatan is a historically rich region of Mexico, home to the ancient Mayan culture. In the downtown historic center, you can visit the city cathedral, an impressive 16th century construction or you can go to interesting museums, such as the Yucatan Museum of Archaeology. You can also take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage down the city`s main avenue, Paseo Montejo, which is lined with 19th century mansions and the Hyatt Regency Merida hotel. It`s a pleasant tour blending historic sights with the new world.

The Hyatt Regency Mérida is a wonderful hotel—very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. From the moment you arrive at the entrance until you reach your room, the service provided by everyone is exceptional. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful, which made our stay truly enjoyable. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options, but there’s room for improvement. Some of the food was served warm rather than hot, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. However, Spasso Cucina Italiana needs significant improvements. The portions are tiny, and unfortunately, the flavors and taste were not there. With some adjustments in quality and serving size, this restaurant could better match the high standards of the hotel. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Mérida, and we would definitely recommend it for both the quality of the hotel and the outstanding service from the entire team—my kudos to all of the employees for their dedication and professionalism.
