Reviews for W Costa Navarino

What a fantastic place

W is for wow. W is for wonderful. W is for Whatever you want, this place is fantastic. Me and my girlfriend decided to treat ourselves to a kid free break and settled on Greece due to the ease of border entry. Firstly Kalamata airport isn’t much bigger than a shed so you’re through in 15 minutes and off to your resort. We arrived at the W Hotel and the greeting was warm and efficient, but from the moment you step in to this hotel it is obvious that you are staying in a quality hotel…. It is clean modern and smells lovely. The sunsets are fantastic and the beach is clean with plenty of sun-beds We had a swim up room that was a great size , was spotlessly clean and well furnished. Now to the service . Room excellent Reception excellent W lounge excellent Breakfast excellent Beach excellent Honestly I couldn’t complain about anything . There are 4 top quality golf courses to play and again the staff there were top class. The hotel offers some lovely onsite dining options, but there are 2 easily reachable villages either side of the bay that offer excellent options for traditional Greek food so we ate out a fair bit also. Big thanks to Mike on the beach, he couldn’t do enough for us, and the guys in the W lounge for great service and cocktails.

Perfect stay on Costa Navarino

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My wife and I had a very special time at the W Costa Navarino. We were lucky enough to spend our four nights there in a really luxurious 3-bedroom beachfront villa, which had everything from a really comfortable lounging area, a heavenly main bedroom, several bathrooms including the main one with both a bathtub and a shower, a dining area, and last but not least, a really large outdoor area. In front of the villa was a large plunge pool, loungers, a dining table, and then our own little piece of beach with loungers as well. I really enjoyed the style and decoration of our room, which blended solid, traditional materials such as hardwood and rocks with a modern style. There were several pieces of contemporary art throughout the villa as well, which we appreciated. I'm not sure what else we could have asked for, for our vacation stay ! The resort itself certainly didn't disappoint either. The modern-traditional style continued throughout, everything was well kept and there was plenty of beautiful greenery. And then of course, wherever you are of the resort, there is a breathtaking view on the beach and Sfaktiria island. Such a special place! The swimming pools are gorgeous, and at least one of them is heated, for the cooler months. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast as well. There are several buffet areas spread around the dining area, from eggs & such, to a bakery, to an extensive cheese & cold cuts array, to a cafe -- a really nice concept. And then there is an a la carte menu as well. We had meals and drinks at the W Lounge, Green Pepper and Parelia, too, and they all delivered. Service was nice and attentive, and the food was always delicious. All of that with an unforgettable view, again. Housekeeping did a really good job. They always came at a convenient time and performed turn down. One day we had trouble emptying the bathtub; they took care of it and left us a nice note. The general atmosphere was great. We were there in late May when it was, I imagine, not as busy as in the summer, but the place was not dead either and had a really nice vibe. It was quiet when we needed it to be and lively when we felt like having life around us. We took part in some of the activities at the W, from a workout class to a guided kayak tour by the watersports center and they were great. It's nice to have access to activities at the other two Marriotts nearby as well (the Westin and the Luxury Collection), though the yoga class we took at the Westin kind of just reminded us were not at the W. Across the staff was really friendly, attentive and accommodating. If you can swing it, stay at this W, this really is the place to be!

Give it a go but there are more authentic experiences in Greece.

This trip as a family of four with two teenage boys was a real treat. The hotel is spacious and spread out in a way that doesn’t feel like a towering hotel rather a number of private residences. We stayed in a pool villa overlooking the beach and it was incredibly private either allocated loungers and chairs in front of the villa on the very quiet beach. It’s not really accessible for public so there really is only yourself on the beach. Restaurants were great if pricey, spa was great we had two massages and very professional and skilled. The gym was too small, it lacked stretching areas and free weights so this needs to be addressed. It became very busy and crowded late afternoon and mornings also. My criticism is it didn’t feel like Greece, it was a luxury resort like in Dubai with a purpose built marina with bars and shops as there is little offerings nearby to offer a real option. So if you like to travel and get a sense of where you are you need a car and as we did, head out to visit local towns and cultural sites. The other major consideration is the local airport is Kalamata and it is terrible, tiny with no food options, the whole place was disgusting, no running water or soap in the tiny toilets, queuing out of the door etc Despite no digital ID in place in Greece the passport queue was horrendous. I wouldn’t return to the hotel generally as it wasn’t an authentic experience despite the brilliant service but especially while this is the only airport option.

Exceptional

Our stay at the W Costa Navarino was exceptional from beginning to end. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and the level of service throughout the resort was among the best we’ve ever experienced. The team consistently went above and beyond, always greeting us with a smile and making every interaction warm and personal. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their attention to detail really made our holiday special. Housekeeping was outstanding. Our villa was immaculate every single day, serviced to an incredibly high standard, with thoughtful touches delivered everyday. Room service was equally impressive always prompt, beautifully presented, and the food arrived fresh and delicious. The entire resort is stunning, with beautiful grounds, fantastic restaurants, and a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere. Every member of the team clearly takes great pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the guest experience. A huge thank you to everyone at the W Costa Navarino for creating such wonderful memories for our family. We arrived with high expectations, and somehow you exceeded every one of them. I must mention the reservations team, Eleftheria, Evita, Anastasia, Nikos, Katrina, Efi, Elena. Prem and Christina from housekeeping. I’m sure I’ve missed a few out. Thank you Amar

🌟Absolute Paradise! An Unforgettable Family Vacation at W Costa Navarino

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My family (adults) and I recently stayed at the W Costa Navarino, and saying it was "amazing" is an understatement - it felt like pure paradise from the moment we arrived until the second we left. Few points to share with you: Pre-Arrival: Before we even set foot on the property, Elina from the Reservations Department made sure everything was seamlessly set up. The Whatever/Whenever team took care of all our pre-booking needs: managing our restaurant reservations, shuttle services, and Padel court bookings effortlessly. Upon arrival, every single request was handled with incredible care and speed. A huge thank you to Efy, the team leader, who took personal care of our special food requests to make sure everyone in our group was delighted. The Ultimate Highlight: Our Private Pool Party The absolute peak of our stay was having a private mixologist for our villa’s private pool party. It was the best experience we have ever had! Yanis (our incredible bartender) prepared us so many amazing drinks, and Gerasimos took care for the rest. They were so kind, professional, and attentive, notthing was missing. They truly represent the absolute best of the W spirit! Beyond the individual experiences, every great performance needs a master at the helm. Niki was truly the conductor of this whole orchestra, seamlessly orchestrating every element of our stay to create our flawless vacation. We are leaving with deep gratitude, and we are already counting down the days until we return next year. If you are looking for luxury, genuine hospitality, and unforgettable memories, for sure this is the place to be!
