Andaz Mexico City Condesa

Nice atmosphere, however, very noisy. No loud music, just strange acoustics that made talk difficult. Food not great. Some of the plates we ordered were very good, however, a few were actually tasteless. Good cocktails and wine list. Good service.

When we first arrived I was impressed by the style of the hotel. There is a lovely coffee shop on the floor where you check in, a fun wooftop bar where you can play pool and watch sports and a fancy restaurant on the rooftop with stunning views. However after our first night I woke up in the morning with bites on my legs, I wasn’t sure what from. I went down to the front desk to advise them and ask if we could change rooms. After some searching they said yes but I would have to bring my luggage down straight away, I explained that we had a tour booked and I had to get to the city but they said pack up now or you can’t move. This became incredibly stressful as I quickly ran up to the room and quickly chucked everything into my bags. We were staying for 5 nights so I had properly unpacked. I have never changed rooms at a hotel before so it was an interesting experience, the old flea room was smaller but not noisy the new room was slightly larger but was so noisy that I had to sleep with my headphones on. At least I didn’t get bitten in that room. The hotel was very good at checking the room for bed bugs, the report came back clear. We also had an alarm at 1 o’clock in the morning where we had to evacuate the hotel, that was out of their control and we were allowed back in after 15 or so minutes, however there was no explanation from the hotel which was concerning and made it hard to get back to sleep. They could have an automated message that gets sent out by email/text or left on the room phone (just a suggestion more than a complaint) found out when we checked out that it was an earthquake. The location of the hotel is good and there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance plus a handy convenience store right across the road. It’s only a five minute walk to the main Condesa square and we had no problem getting Ubers with a maximum wait time of 5 minutes. Shout out to the concierge staff who consistently gave 5 star service and housekeeping who always did an outstanding job.

The Andaz Condesa is in the perfect location to explore both Condesa and Roma -- with a great rooftop lounge and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff!

Beautiful new rooms and friendly staff made our trip wonderful! We liked the location, just steps from the park and quaint cafes. I would highly recommend the Andaz Condesa!

Andaz is an exceptional hotel. The hotel is tucked away in such a nice part of the city. Walkable distance to many delicious restaurants, bars, and cafes. It is very easy to catch an uber from the hotel as well. The customer service was EXCELLENT. We were never without bottled water and the facilities were very clean wherever you went. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the basic necessities for your stay. They even provide a working record player with records, which was a unique touch. The complimentary breakfast is a huge buffet of all kinds of foods ranging from quesadillas and barbacoa to typical, American scrambled eggs and bacon. We did swing by the rooftop bar for a quick drink. Not only do you get a spectacular view, but the cocktails were really delicious and had something for everyone to enjoy. We didn't travel with a pet, but this hotel also offers a little "Wooftop" for your pup. Could not recommend this hotel more.
