Wonderful Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I was in Mexico City for 3 nights on business and not looking forward to being away from home during the holiday season. But Camino Real Polanco was surprisingly welcoming and the room was lovely! My bed at your hotel was better than home.

Very large and ageing property

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Hotel is very well located SE of the Polanco neighbourhood (within walking distance). The property is enormous with significant indoor walking distances to get from one part of the hotel to another. Ambiance, fixtures and fittings appear rather old and might use some serious renovation. Rooms have rather old carpets and furniture, creating an unpleasant smell and sub-allergic reactions. Bedsheets and towels had a pungent smell of bleach. Service is done "by the book" but somewhat impersonal, could improve. Apart from the general price level, this place does not live up to the 5 star standard.

Clean Rooms but Overpriced Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The hotel was clean, and housekeeping did a good job maintaining the room, which I appreciated. However, overall the stay didn’t feel worth the amount I paid. Apart from cleanliness, nothing really stood out. The room was average, and the facilities didn’t match the high price. Service was decent, responses to requests could have been better. While the location is convenient, it doesn’t fully justify the cost. I expected better value, improved service, and more comfort for the price charged. Overall, a clean but overpriced hotel experience.
