Reviews for Camino Real Polanco Mexico

Very bad

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I had a very disappointing experience at Camino Real Polanco. I was staying for seven nights, yet I was charged an absurd amount of money for just one night, which I found completely unreasonable. The service was poor, the temperature in the room was extremely hot and uncomfortable, and the breakfast was terrible in both quality and overall experience. For a hotel of this category and price level, I expected a much higher standard of service, comfort, food quality, and transparency regarding the charges.

In strong need of a renovation. The hotel and especially the room feels very run down and old. Lighting inside the room is particularly bad. Will all lights turned on it was too dim.

Bad hospitality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Fernando, the concierge manager, was very rude at check in. Our other friends didn't have the same experience. We were the only queer couple in our group though, so maybe that was why he treated us poorly. Other staff were friendly, but he was not. We had our room tidied up one day of our stay and they broke my electric toothbrush. It had clearly been dropped on the floor and a big piece of plastic was missing from the base, leaving wires exposed. And the plastic piece was rolled up in one of the wash cloths that was replenished.

Not meeting expectations

The hotel rooms need to urgently be renovated, and the waiters need to stop rushing people while eating.
