Viva La Mexico City and the Reforma Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hilton Reforma Mexico City Hotel from 26 December 2025 through 2 January 2026 and had a phenomenal experience. This hotel, its staff, its proximity to local attractions, its amenities to include the fitness center, spa, restaurants, and concierge services were exceptional. We highly recommend staying here if you're visiting or vacationing in Mexico City. We were met by the hotel manager (Cem pronounced Jim) during check-in, and we literally had daily interactions with Cem throughout our visit, and at 5:00am the morning we checked out. We've never experienced that, and it was noteworthy. He was / is amazing and true professional. Our room was more than we expected, it was cleaned every morning, and we received prompt responses and service to our request; extra coffees, cups, robes, etc. We dined for breakfast, Happy Hour, and an occasional dinner on the property and once again, we're extremely pleased. We would like to recognize Luis (main restaurant) for his personalized service and local insights), within the Executive Lounge we'd like to recognize Cano for his patience and personalized service, and we'd also like to recognize Evangelina from housekeeping for keeping our room pristine and clean.

Friendly staff, good location

The front desk staff and breakfast servers are very attentive and friendly. They are doing work on the water and had to change one of the rooms we had booked but comped us the breakfast buffet for our entire stay. Our party was 4 people so this was a considerable benefit, especially given the huge range of breakfast offerings. While I don’t think we were in the upgraded rooms, the beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean. The hotel is right across the street from the Alameda park and easy walking distance to Zocolo and the Mercado de Artensias La Ciudadela. The one downside to the location is that if you want to eat in Roma or Condesa, you need to get an Uber or take public transportation. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent walkable location

Hotel has armed and vested guards at entrances and inside, you feel safe here. Lovely indoor and outdoor pools. Substandard coffee makers and no microwaves in rooms, so you have to buy coffee downstairs or off site. Only Spanish channels on TV but you can go into lobby and sit on comfy chairs to watch sports in English. Rooms clean, nice to have a tub to relax in. Beds of decent quality.

Comfortable stay. Friendly staff and great location for exploring and getting around. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Amazing service.

This hotel is absolutley amazing. Fromt the moment we walked we were greeted by Ian and the front desk who gave exceptional service. Edgar and Victor and the Bar were outstanding. Juan in the reseturaunt was a delight and very prompt. The young lady who made our omellets was great. When I came by she already knew the omellet i wanted. I would like to also say Cesar at the desk is great. He had a line due to a difficult guest and handle them all well by apologizinng to everyone that haad waitied. Love the glasses by the way. I am a manager at hotel in Houston at teh Front Office so I know great service when I see it. Keep up the good work and thanks for the wonderful stay. By the way love the quote our room attendant left us when she cleaned our room. We were in room 1219.
