Hyatt Regency Mexico City

We got married in Mexico City and had 18 rooms booked at the Hyatt Regency Mexico City, including our own stay for our wedding night — over 50 room nights in total. Despite this, we were charged $90 USD for late checkout and even $2 per room to deliver welcome gifts to our guests. While I understand policies, I would have expected some flexibility or goodwill given the volume of business. What was most disappointing, however, was the complete lack of basic hospitality. We arrived at 4am in full wedding attire — a pretty obvious moment — and not a single person acknowledged it. No “congratulations,” no small gesture, and not even a note waiting in the room. For a hotel at this price point, it’s the small details that matter. Instead, the experience felt cold, impersonal, and far below expectations.

Great stay at the Hyatt. We enjoyed their fabulous breakfast buffet and the concierge lounge. Only downside was having to leave at 9pm.

Nice clean hotel. Everything was perfect. Just wish concierge working on my day of checkout could’ve help me retrieve my $400 lost glasses. Great food, clean facility in a great neighborhood. Will return!

I thought the Polanco area was good and this hotel is centrally located. Not sure if it's better or worse at this level than the others, but it was definitely cheaper than the JW Marriott, but I didn't see that much of a difference from prior experiences.

One of the best hotel experiences. Via Amex Platinum and their Hotel Collection, you will receive and Hyatt will honor an early check-in, late check-out, free breakfast, and $100 to spend at the hotel. I had a stomach virus on the last day and the late check-out saved me! I am very grateful because my flight was only at night. Thank you and I had an amazing experience.
