Thank you so much to the WONDERFUL staff of the Sofitel Mexico City for making our 25th anniversary trip so much fun! We loved every minute of our stay and truly can't wait to go back. I can't remember the last time we stayed at a hotel where everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Here are a few names: Brandon, who greeted us warmly when he picked us up from the airport; super friendly, Eduardo, the bellman who escorted us to our room and explained the layout of the hotel and neighborhood highlights; the incredibly warm, helpful and fun concierges: Diego, Vanessa, Max, Erik, & Yair (their recommendations were all spot-on and we always felt like they went out of their way to greet us whether we were coming or going, to answer questions and make reservations); Raul, who helped rescue my debit card from the ATM; and Cesar, who is a driver/tour guide par excellence and was the star of the show! Cesar is an expert regarding all things Mexico City (art history, archaeology, anthropology, etc.). We felt like we were touring with a college professor! We only had 4 days and Cesar helped us make the most of them. We toured the city/museums, Teotihuacan, & Basilica de Guadalupe with him. We canceled a previously scheduled and paid for tour with another guide, (other guide took us to Xochimilco & he was very nice) but Cesar set the bar so high that it was more than worth the extra expense. Not only did Cesar handle the crazy CDMX traffic with ease, he always knew exactly how much time we could spend at each site; we never felt rushed and we didn't have to worry about anything. AGAIN--MANY THANKS TO ALL OF THE STAFF OF THE SOFITEL FOR MAKING OUR TRIP SO SPECIAL!!! We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I had most wonderful stay at the Sofitel! We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday and this stay was exactly what I wanted! They had most delicious cake waiting for us on our anniversary day and the staff at the restaurant brought a cake with special candle at breakfast. Everyone from the concierge team, front desk and the dining staff were wonderful!
