The ANDAZ MIAMI is a beautiful hotel with exceptional service. Oliver, Ryan, Daniel G, and Miami were very helpful with our children aged 9,7, and 3. They played games with them on the beach and anticipated their needs at the pool. The gym: The hotel renovation is beautiful with a peloton bike overlooking the ocean in the gym. Lots of new equipment. Location: hotel location is perfect with an easy uber trip to wherever you want to go in Miami. We loved the Miami museum of ice cream in the world center and Earl’s for dinner. This area where the hotel is located is quieter than south beach. Food: we ate lunch at the soleo pool/ beach bar everyday. Food was excellent and my kids loved the burger and chicken tenders. The protein bowl was amazing with tuna! Don’t skip the churros either! Bars: bar centro was nice to grab a coffee and pastry in the morning, only complaint is no TVs at the hotel bar outside or at bar centro. It was the college football championship when we were in town and would have been nice to watch the game. Rooms: 2 queen room was very small but had a stunning ocean view! The bathroom was nicely sized the we loved the white and blue tile and marble counters.

Professional staff. Feels like an old school hotel. Beds super comfortable. Rooms a bit small, and elevator system has a small learning curve. However these are trivial. The pool and breakfast were great. The restaurant has a seafood bent. The king salmon was excellent. The location in the art deco district was fantastic. Lots of walkable restaurants. Traffic can be busy, however if your just staying in the area it doesn't matter. The valet was top notch.

Overall great experience. The staff was beyond accommodating. Pool service and Beach service to us and our kids was top notch. If you are there, find workers Daniel, G, Oliver, Ryan, and Miami. They will take care of you and if you have kids they are beyond kind to them! Highly recommend this hotel

AVOID

Awful experience. All 5 of us (my mother was in another room) agreed we had no desire to ever come back. Construction everywhere, loud tools being used ten feet from door to our room. We (Globalist with 2 young children) were put in room under gym with people smashing dumbbells on the ceiling over our heads and making our room shudder violently. After two hours (assumed they were moving furniture/setting up for party) went downstairs to ask what was happening and was told we were under gym that was open 24/7!!! Spent almost an hour dealing with getting another room (tiniest room on the floor-only 1 of us could stand up and walk at a time) and then spent 2 hrs repacking, moving and unpacking again. Missed cocktails with friends, and a night of quality time with my elderly mother-inexcusable. Dinner at hotel restaurant had us waiting 40mins for drinks and almost 1.5hours for food, and then our apps and entrees all came out together! Mini bars empty, no Andaz snacks, no snacks we could pay for (though my mother's room had stocked minibar). No ice machines, construction people everywhere. This place just has no business being open yet. It is a very poorly managed mess of a hotel.
