We booked a room and after checking in, we were told that the elevator was not working . And our room was in the 5th floor. My husband had just had surgery and he has asthma. How on earth was this suppose to be a relaxing vacation going up and down 5 flights of stairs. This is does not meet the standards for a handicap person! I would have assumed the hire would have texted us to let us know about the elevator . Or given us the option to stay somewhere else . Like I said , a handicap person can not walk up 5 flights of stairs !

I had an amazing stay at Beacon South Beach Hotel! The location is perfect and everything was clean and comfortable. A special shoutout to NAHOMY at the front desk—she was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made check-in so smooth. Her customer service truly made the experience even better!

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The rooms were stylish, and the beach is just steps away. Nahomy at the front desk was outstanding—so welcoming and attentive. She answered all my questions and made me feel right at home. Definitely coming back!

terrible room, not clean, old tiny bathroom . called it a deluxe room laughable. only light in room is a dreadful extremely bright ceiling light. cannot turn on bathroom light without a very loud fan coming on as well . staff very unhelpful and rude we had one of us with mobility issues and elevator not working. staff just shrugged their shoulders. terribly rude. would not recommend this hotel

When I arrived I was told that the elevator is out of service and that my room was on the 4th floor. The room is small but typical for S Beach. At 3am my air conditioner went out in hot muggy Florida. I tried to use the room phone that didn’t work. So i used my mobile to call hotel and somebody off property answered. They sent a guy up to check it out and he fiddled with it for almost an hour between 330 and 430am. I then asked for a later check out because of no sleep. He said that I would need to ask the desk after 9am and that the maintenance guy would be back at 7am to fix the air. At 9am still no maintenance man so I went down to the desk. She promptly sent someone up and granted me a 2 hour later check out time. 2 men show up and tear the unit apart then reassemble it and leave without a word and still no air. I then attempt to take a shower and the shower door is off the track and wont open. There were gnats flying around the room. And the cable service only has right winged propaganda news channels. Also mold and lime scale in shower. I checked out about 115 and still no air. I booked through Hotel Tonight and called their concierge service to tell them about my stay. They reach out to the hotel and the hotel states that they already compensated me be giving me 2 hour later check out time. I have booked through Hotel Tonight with 157 nights in 76 cities and 7 countries without a single complaint up until now. I wasn’t asking for the world but some sort of compensation for a $240 stay that resulted in no restful sleep and a lot of sweat. The staff was amazing throughout this but it is obvious that the owner isn’t as invested in this property as their staff is. They are raking in the money but letting the building collapse in the mean time. I would have had a much more comfortable stay in a sleep pod at the airport.
