Poor Service and No response for refund

I am writing regarding my recent reservation at the Bentley Hotel South Beach booked through Expedia. Unfortunately, we were unable to check in on the first night of our reservation because our flight was delayed. U.S. Customs and Border Protection held passengers for an extended period during boarding procedures, which caused us to miss our flight and arrive one day later than planned. Because of this situation , we arrived late and no one responded regarding a refund for one night hotel charges. Additionally, when we arrived at the hotel, we found that the condition of the room was not satisfactory. The room did not meet our expectations, and the sofa bed that was provided for sleeping was very uncomfortable. Given these circumstances, I would kindly like to request a one-night Expedia credit that I could use for a future booking. Amazing Bentley

The location was amazing in the heart of the art deco District. Walkable to everything we wanted to see. Lots of food and the beach was right across the street! The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful. Free waters! Breakfast had a nice selection. Camila was the manager and she was a tremendous help to us. Rooms were clean bathrooms were clean spacious. Overall wonderful stay. I would definitely come back here next time in Miami.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful! The view from the balcony was incredible! The rooms were clean and roomy!! We enjoyed Catalina and Reinaldo were so friendly and loved the Champagne at 5 by the pool!

Gross!! Pubic hairs in bed and animal feces

DISGUSTING!!!! Pubic hairs and pet feces in the bed!!! I mistakenly booked this property believing it was the Bentley Hilton. I am a Miami native and currently 9 months pregnant, and my mother arrived for my baby’s arrival next week. When we realized we were at the wrong Bentley hotel, I was immediately concerned—this property was clearly under construction, disorganized, and lacking basic services (including room service). I offered to move my mother to the correct hotel, but she declined and tried to make it work. A few hours later, she called me upset and sent multiple photos showing the bed contained pubic hair, unknown residue, and pet feces. She contacted the front desk, and instead of relocating her to a new room or properly addressing the sanitation issue, the staff simply provided fresh sheets. That is not a solution. It ignores the condition of the mattress and the fact that the room was not fit for occupancy to begin with. I called to complain and was met with complete indifference. At that point, I picked my mother up immediately—late at night—and booked her at the EDITION Hotel at additional cost because I would not allow her to stay in an unsanitary room. The situation was embarrassing, stressful, and entirely avoidable. I then spoke with Jessica, the manager, who stated the mattress “does not look like theirs,” effectively implying that my mother and I were lying—despite the photographic evidence I will be providing. That response was not only insulting, it was a clear failure of basic customer service and accountability. To be clear: I travel frequently and stay at top-tier hotels worldwide, and I have never experienced anything remotely like this. You can see through my travel blog. withlovealexis The idea that your first response is to suggest fabrication instead of immediately resolving a serious sanitation complaint says everything. This place is disgusting and the way the staff handles situations like this, you can tell is the norm and the money is needed badly. I told her she can keep our money and not fix this and have a bigger issue or fix the issue the right way. I’ll let yall know soon.
