The staff at this hotel is unmatched. Every single person is kind (not just "nice"), thoughtful, courteous, and dignified. Everything is always spotless, and the pool is a slice of heaven. But I came here to marvel at the absolutely beautiful hallways. Yes, the hallways. The design and color palette subtly nod to the ocean outside: the most stunning but indescribable shades of blue and seaglass green on the wallpaper, paired with a sand-and-blue plush carpet so thick that my suitcase could barely roll down the corridor. It took my breath away each time I stepped out of my room, and I'm so disappointed that I forgot to take a photo. Any minor construction noise is definitely worth the upgrade to such surroundings. Absolutely gorgeous.

We booked through a travel agent and were unaware of construction work until check in. Even when we checked on Expedia, the construction work was not clearly communicated - you had to look for it. The noise was unbearable. We were on the 14th floor and it was coming from above and below. The fact that the hotel think this noise is acceptable is disgraceful. You can’t spend any time in your room from 8am - 6pm, even on weekends. Unfortunately, this hotel was our last stop on a two week road trip and we booked it as a relaxing stay. It was anything but. And to have to pay a resort fee for the privilege of staying there is disgraceful.

My family and I have been loyal guests of the Loews Miami Beach for years. This has always been one of our favorite places to stay because it’s consistently clean, the staff is friendly, and the amenities are excellent. That’s why this experience was such a major letdown. The hotel is currently under heavy construction, and while I now know it’s technically disclosed on the website, it was buried in the fine print. When we booked our stay over six months ago, we received no communication directly from the hotel, no warning before our arrival, and no opportunity to reconsider our plans. We were blindsided at check-in. The construction noise is unbearable. Starting around 8:30 AM, there was nonstop jackhammering so loud that the walls literally shook. It was impossible to rest, relax, or even have a conversation in the room. If you need to spend any time in your room during the day, I strongly advise staying elsewhere. For me, this went beyond inconvenience. I had an important work meeting during my stay, and despite asking for help, the hotel offered no real solution. I was forced to leave and purchase a day pass at another resort just to do my job. That’s completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber and price point. Yes, the newly renovated rooms look beautiful, but what good is a nice room when you can’t use it? The way this was handled felt deceptive and dismissive of loyal guests. For the first time in all my years staying here, I left frustrated and disappointed. Until renovations are fully complete, I cannot recommend staying at this property. The noise, lack of transparency, and failure to accommodate guests made this one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

My husband & I stayed here over a weekend for 2 nights and had a lovely trip! The hotel is beautiful & clean and all of the staff we encountered were friendly & helpful. I had booked a king room which wasn’t ready when we were checking in so we were offered a room with 2 doubles on a high floor with a balcony as an alternative, which was essentially an upgrade. We accepted this and the room was perfect for us! The construction during our stay was room renovations from 4th - 8th floor with the 9th floor blocked out as a buffer floor. We were advised upon checkin that construction was happening between 8am & 5pm and that although we were on 17th floor, there had been reports that the noise was travelling. We weren’t concerned as we knew we’d be awake during those hours so not concerned. We did indeed hear/feel the construction around 9am on our first morning as we were getting ready to head out but as I said, no issue as we were up and about anyway. There is an AVIS in the hotel which was excellent for us as we had hired a car in Orlando & drove down. Super convenient! We were able to store our luggage & make use of the pool facilities after checking out for a couple of hours which was great! We also met up friends who were not staying at the hotel but were allowed to come in to the pool area as our guests. I had to complain about noise from our neighbours around midnight on our first night. We had a connecting room which I think made the noise worse than it usually would be. There are signs in the corridor stating quiet hours are between 10pm & 7pm so I felt encouraged to make the staff aware of the issue. They have a convenient text service so I sent a message and within 5 minutes, security visited the room next door and sorted it. We noticed lots of little thoughtful extras during our stay - sunscreen available to everyone at the pool for free, disposable swim diapers, etc. I wouldn’t hesitate in booking Loews again if I ever return to Miami.

Before you book a room, ask if the construction is still ongoing. Be for-warned, you will be serenaded by loud drilling, hammering, crashing and banging noises from 7am until 8pm, Monday through Saturday, 6 days per week, 13 hours per day, and they won’t disclose this to you ahead of time, unless you ask.
