National Hotel

We had a wonderful stay here. The original art deco style of the hotel are incredible. It's all very clean and well maintained and the service is excellent. The cabana rooms are fantastic (we preferred upper floor to have a balcony) and the beach and pool couldn't be better. All around excellent choice!!

I was very disappointed this time. My room was filthy dirty and the sheets were ripped. I was unfortunate that only one elevator was working at the time I was there.

I've returned here for vacation stays multiple times because of the amenities and the enjoyment you can have. The art deco ambience sets this hotel apart from others. All of the staff make you feel like an honored guest. My room was more than adequate, clean and well maintained with a comfortable bed. Sleep quality was good. The WiFi was excellent. It was not too crowded this time of year. The location is ideal for easy walks to Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road. The boardwalk passes right by the rear entrance and the beach just beyond. The pools are one of the best amenities. They are big enough for many activities. The long pool is great for swimming laps. No problem finding lounge chairs, with plenty of towels, and many umbrellas for shade. They've added more lounge chairs and umbrellas. They've added an area next to the bar with tables and umbrellas to enjoy drinks and food, and it makes a good retreat when there's a brief rain shower. A good part of this property is the lush landscaping around the pools. Shaded areas on one side the side of the long pool have plenty of seating with tables to gather and enjoy drinks and food from the bar. There was no noise at all from adjacent properties. An easy 2 minute walk takes you to the beach where the hotel has its own private area with beach chairs and umbrellas. This section of the beach is uncrowded. Plus you have service from the bar for drinks and snacks. This adult only hotel provides multiple advantages for guests wanting a relaxed setting. The pools provide a place for adults of all ages and sizes and shapes to enjoy themselves without feeling out of place. Pool attire was eclectic. Every day multiple women enjoyed going topless for sunbathing, swimming, getting drinks at the bar, and going out to the beach. Topfree and carefree. This is also the place to have fun wearing tiny swimsuits including thongs and g-string bikinis, along with more moderate swimwear. Others were in resort wear, relaxing, sipping drinks from the bar, and enjoying the surroundings. It's a place to do what you want to do. Everyone was respectful of others. The poolside employees were making it a welcoming place and provided outstanding service. The hotel restaurant setting is right next to the landscaping of the long pool. It is a peaceful place for breakfast and dinner. Some of the menu items are unique to this restaurant. Service was excellent. I look forward to another stay.

Beautiful hotel decorated incredibly. The art, the drapes, the smell, …there just isn’t a better lobby. Brunch on the patio is the must and I honestly became emotional to be fortunate enough to dine in such an amazing setting. This hotel is old. Something’s need some attention. Our ceiling fan was unbalanced so it was annoying while trying to sleep. Our shower curtain rod was broken so the curtain wouldn’t stay put. If that puts you off on the place you’re nuts. The experience of the lobby and lounge areas outdoes it enough the “issues” were easy to live with. I’ll end with the staff. Friendly, service oriented, and quick to attend. Book with extreme confidence this will be one of the best stays of your life.

Location and landscape/architecture of the hotel is beautiful. Staff was super friendly and helpful and valet was amazing! The overall vibes at the hotel were boring. Rooms are spacious and the suite has two full bathrooms which was super nice but they do not have bathrobes and the shampoo/conditioner was awful. Food and drinks are terrible at the hotel, I'm sorry to say this but we were just so disappointed. I would never recommend eating here.
