Reviews for National Hotel

The National Rocks!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I stayed at the National Hotel during Miami music week. I truly cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Music week is an extremely busy time for Miami and typically staff can be overwhelmed and understandably stressed out. Everyone at the National from the housekeeping, bartenders, valet, bellhops, desk staff to upper management were extremely kind, accommodating, and made our trip extra special. Shout out to bartender Margherita, who is a gem, and especially to GM Yaser, who truly went above and beyond for us even though he didn’t have to. Thank you so much for making our weekend one of the best Miami trips yet!! Can’t wait to return. 10/10.

Exceptional Hospitality — Flavio Made Our Visit Unforgettable

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We had such a wonderful experience at the National Hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to Flavio at the bar. He is, without a doubt, one of the most hospitality-driven individuals we’ve come across. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and completely at ease. Flavio truly elevated our visit, and we will absolutely be back because of him.

Non accommodating staff

The week we went we were not allowed to access the pool unless we paid around $150 dollars. I asked multiple times if we can get a credit for the resort fees or just anything and just got back rude responses

Awful!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We are currently staying at the National Hotel Miami Beach, a place we have returned to regularly when visiting from Australia, and sadly this will likely be our last stay. When making our reservation, we were advised there would be daily pool parties due to the Miami music festival. However, at no stage were we told that these events were tied to Spring Break, nor that hotel guests would be excluded from attending. Even more disappointing, the pool is closed to paying guests from 11:30am each day, effectively removing access to one of the hotel’s main amenities. To make matters worse, access to the beach is no longer through the pool area as usual, but requires walking out and around via the road, which is both inconvenient and not what you expect when booking a beachfront property at this price point. The noise levels are completely unacceptable. Loud, heavy music plays until 11:00–11:30pm every night, making it impossible to relax or enjoy the hotel experience. This is not a minor inconvenience—it fundamentally changes the nature of the stay. We are paying approximately $1,000 per night, yet core facilities are restricted so that non-paying partygoers can use the space instead. It is extremely disappointing and feels like a complete disregard for loyal, paying guests. My husband has made several attempts to speak with the General Manager, who has been consistently unavailable, which only adds to the frustration. This hotel used to be one of our favourites in Miami, known for its relaxed atmosphere and quality experience. Unfortunately, the decision to prioritise external events over hotel guests, without clear upfront disclosure, has completely changed our perception. We would strongly recommend that future guests confirm exactly what access they will have to hotel facilities before booking—especially during major event periods.

Nightmare thumping party music all day and night

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Absolutely awful management who crank music to thundering levels starting at 10 am. We were on the waters edge 100s of feet away and this was the sole hotel on the beach cranking music all day and night. We asked management to turn it down and they said we have a permit and when people call the cops we pay the fine happily but keep playing the music. What absolutely hostile trashy attitude. The city ought to deny them permits.
