Situated ocean-side in the heart of Miami's most desirable location in South Beach, The Setai, Miami Beach is an award- winning, international leader in hospitality and the hotel of choice for a savvy clientele of global power players. The Setai masterfully combines the warmth of Asian hospitality with the best in personalized service, the latest in-room technologies and truly rarified comfort. Housed in a restored 1936 landmark building within the historical Art Deco District, The Setai has been artfully designed, weaving the aesthetics of the Far East into its original Art Deco facade.

Chose The Setai as a more relaxed luxury option in Miami Beach, and was largely disappointed. Overall, the whole hotel seems in need of a refresh. While the rooms are spacious and nicely laid out, they were incredibly humid, bed uncomfortable, and in the main building, all overlooking construction and lower level roof. The main restaurant, Jaya, which is the center of the property and where breakfast is served felt dirty. The benches and chairs were worn and damp, ceiling and rafters dusty and covered in dirt, and just overall unkempt. The layout of the hotel requires you to walk through Jaya to access the pool, spa, beach, etc. and is very clunky. You're having to navigate through tables and servers of the restaurant each time you exit the main building. The spa: Treatments were fine, but also an incredibly clunky experience. Check in and locker rooms are in one building near the pool, but the treatment rooms are up in the tower building. This means you are changing into robes and navigating through the tower lobby and up to a random floor where the treatment rooms are located. There is not a separate elevator for the spa, so sharing an elevator with other guests, residents, and construction workers in a robe fresh off a spa treatment is less than a relaxing luxury experience. If you're looking for a real luxury experience in SB, you are not finding it here.

I had the most amazing massage with Murat. He went above and beyond and found all my tight spots and helped me feel so much better. Truly the best massage I have ever had!!

Muran was absolutely amazing. I got the body scrub and my body feels so good. I feel so rejuvenated! The lotion used during my treatment also smells amazing.

New Years Day Brunch was an absolute treat for the senses! A beautiful set-up, plenty of delicious and fresh buffet options, a talented jazz trio and the kind and attentive service from our server Lina at the perfect table (215) was a beautiful way to start our year! The buffet covers breakfast and lunch, with seafood, grilled meats, sushi, pan-Asian specialties (don’t sleep on the Peking duck!) and American fare, there is something for everyone. Unlimited champagne and espresso martinis are the cherry atop of this buffet sundae! Our server Lina (table 215) was patient, attentive, provided suggestions and was a always available. The remaining staff were patient, willing to assist and worked diligently to take care of all of the guests. Fabulous experience. Thank you for your hard work to provide for our holiday.
