Once Amazing Hotel now a Horrible Experience!

My husband & I have stayed at this hotel for 10+ years. Never had a bad word to say about it until now. We had the WORST stay at a hotel EVER! Customer service is nonexistent. Waited 15-20 minutes to check in because the reception person was eating his "lunch". No apologies from him for this. When we got to the "spa" room, saw there were no jets in the spa, but there was poop. We asked for extra towels, only 2 in the room, and were told we couldn't have anymore. We were supposed to get some pool towels for the spa and only got them once from the front desk during a 3 night stay after the poop was cleaned up. Had to ask for the room to be made up the next day and the person that came seemed surprised I wanted more than the trash emptied. We had no tv the whole stay. The entire hotel was in disrepair, the staff apathetic as to the needs of those staying there and the restaurant they used to have moved somewhere else so there was no food at the hotel. We had some dishes, silverware and 2 coffee cups in the room supplied by the hotel . Housekeeping never washed anything we used and provided nothing to wash them ourselves. On top of all this, they had no ice in the ice machines. There is nothing I can be positive about and this used to be our favorite hotel to stay at. We chose this hotel to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We regret our choice. We've stayed at your White Plains hotel and thought we'd get the same level of quality service. Not at Z Ocean Hotel Miami Beach. If you're trying to run this hotel into the ground, you're doing a great job!

Room sizes were nice. We reserved two types of rooms (one with balcony and the other with balcony and jacuzzi). The hotel had a bit of internal renovation happening but that wasn't an issue. My only concern was the cleanliness of the fitness centre, pull area, and outside leading to the back of the hotel. Also, the floors in the rooms were a marble color making it hard to tell if they were actually clean. Staff were very nice and we had no issues with service, location, access, etc.

My husband, our baby, and I had a fantastic weekend at this hotel. We stayed in the Pool Lanai Suite, and it was lovely, comfortable, and spacious for all of us. The location was superb, situated perfectly close to Ocean Drive and just a short stroll from the beach. We especially loved spending time by the glass bottom pool, which was such a unique feature. Serge at reception was incredibly helpful and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend for families and couples alike!

Excellent experience

We had a wonderful weekend at the hotel! Our South Beach Suite was really spacious and very comfortable. I loved the glass bottom pool, it was such a unique and fun experience. The location was perfect because it was near everything we wanted in Miami Beach and very close to the beach itself. Serge at the front desk was great, she was very helpful and welcoming. We definitely plan on returning, it was exactly what we hoped for.

Worst hotel experience due to poor Management

Was not told air conditioner was not working when I booked. Was not told air conditioner wasn't working when I checked in. When I figured out the AC wasn't working in my room I called front desk was told they were working on it and we'll get back to me. After 45 minutes of no word I called I was told that the AC unit was being worked on. After another 45 minutes I called back found out that the air conditioner unit was for the entire building because I was trying to change rooms. At this time I was getting frustrated I asked to talk to a manager and was told they weren't answering the phone. At this point my wife and I said well let's go get in the hot tub and try to enjoy it and see if something can happen. Call down to front desk a new Clark was working he told me nobody was working on the air conditioning unit that it won't be fixed until the next day or the or the next so instead of being frustrated I was mad. I asked to talk to the owner the manager anybody that would pick up the phone if they needed something really emergency wise never talk to anybody. Decided to take a shower wasn't realizing that the drain wasn't working which flooded the bathroom and the bedroom where we had all our stuff laid out to pack This place doesn't even know how to spell customer service much less know what it is. it was the worst experience in the hotel room and my life. It's disappointing because we really liked the room it was very unique and cool but the way my wife and I were treated and disrespected and lied to I really believe that the woman that checked me in should be fired today. I hope this hotel gets new management and turns it around cuz it's really a cool place. Yes I'm still pissed
