A classy hotel with 100 years old history and world-class catering

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed at the Biltmore for a birthday weekend and it was wonderful. We would like to highlight the Sunday brunch - compliments to the chef for the amazing flavors, we heard he joined the team about 3 month ago and special thanks to our caring, attentive servers Hilda from Peru, Nami from Bali and Yanny from Venezuela! They perfected the experience and they take customer care to the next level, bringing that 5 star service and smile. The brunch selection was not only beautifully presented but rivalled the most varied all-inclusive meal offerings (ie., pasta station, sushi station, seafood station, ice cream station, etc). We also loved La Fontana for dinner, gorgeous backdrop by the patio to the tasty meal and excellent service. An extra mention to Brandi's, a perfect spot for a nice conversation at night with a drink in a speakeasy-type of setting. The hotel room was clean and spacious, the service outstanding, the location suitable for our need and the pool was a very nice experience as well. The gym is also great, so don't forget to bring your gym gear - there are all types of machines to suit every kind of workout, equipped with a state-of-the-art changing room/shower area. This is not mere hospitality at the Biltmore; it's an experience in itself and we plan to return in a few months.

Hauntingly beautiful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We found the Biltmore Coral Gables to be beautiful but haunting. No, we did not see a ghost. However, we all experienced a very heavy feeling as we appreciated the significant history of this hotel. The pool was absolutely beautiful with warm water. We enjoyed swimming, but the pool did have a lot of gnats and bees floating in the water. I imagine that it is difficult to keep such a large pool clean. The pool bar was not open when we were swimming at 6 pm. We were there on a Sunday, and it was difficult finding a restaurant that was open late. We had to get KFC. If you are arriving late. I recommend having some snacks and drinks with you, and a car is necessary for any shopping or restaurants other than those in the hotel. We recommend the Biltmore Coral Gables.

Roach hotel for five star price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

$500 a night: - upon arrival elevators did not work; had to take back of the house service elevators - this hotel is in the middle of nowhere - needed Tylenol at night; no chance to get it 12am to 9am … there is no kiosk; concierge is totally unhelpful - cockroaches running in the room - the whole place is enormous … old … not kept well. Windows facing a hole in a wall covered with piece of wood. Ridiculous - shame on Biltmore and its staff.
