Once in a very great while a property is restored to its former glory that actually improves upon its past. This is such a place. From the moment you approach and see the beautiful central tower and enter the lobby rich with decoration that makes Hearst castle pale by comparison. Matching antique bird cages whose brightly colored inhabitants chitter in the background greet you as you approach the front desk. All staff are at the top of their game. Concierge takes care of all reservations including golf, local dining and transfers and actually remembers you from your phone call. The hotel has been recently redone from top to bottom. Hallways have phots of the legends that were patrons long ago. We had a golf view suite that was a true suite with a dining table and multiple French doors out the balcony where we could watch the players tee off. Decor was an echo of the past with updated colors of seafoam and aubergine with samuel and sons trim on the drapes. Seperate bedroom with windows on 2 sides and an opulently dressed bed with a vintage chandelier above. Room service was great with a very on top of it server. We also had a memorable meal at the restaurant by the fountain on the lower level. Great food with something for everyone with the ambiance of a Sicilian garden. The best part is that you can send your partner out to the golf course while you enjoy the gorgeous spa with views from the top of the hotel and a rock strewn pathway to the treatment rooms. This is the perfect place for a golf weekend or a girls spa trip. Coral gables town is a stones throw away with lots restaurants and shopping. A home run !

My wife, Megan, and I spent the past week at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables and absolutely loved it. It’s our favorite escape from the busyness of Miami — a perfect little retreat filled with history, charm, and elegance. The hotel exudes a timeless sense of presence, and dining by the fountain is always a highlight. A special thank-you to Michael-Anne, our wonderful server, who embodies the warmth and spirit of the Biltmore. Her friendly, attentive service makes every meal feel special. We look forward to returning again soon!

I ordered a nightly fruit plate with Pelligrino when I reserved online and it was confirmed and also I reminded them of this when I came. So it arrived the first night but never after that. Also The front desk is frugal with upgrades even though I have sIgned up through platinum amex and iprefer. I know this because I have stayed in this hotel over 20 times and my daughter was married here as well. Thet simply are less generous with the upgrades than the other hotels in these systems. I checked in on Friday and was told there was a wedding which I understand. But what about Monday and Tuesday when the hotel was empty. They said I should chec back Monday AM. Not very friendly given my frequent visits, platinum and iprefere cards and obviosly there were rooms available. They did call me back mid-day Monday when I was at Parrot Jungle and could hardly return to make a switch. Finally the dinner food in the Fontana is shameful - with some exceptions However that said i love the hotel, especially the live music downstairs , the breakfasts, the ambience, the staff, the food in the golf course restaurant, the glorious ppol, the new security guard outside the pool and I will continue to come here 20 more times every time I visit Miami because the pluses outweigh the minus-es.

It is my fiancée's birthday and I Went out of my way to pay for the room to have the room set up with special little birthday treats and a sign "Happy Birthday Ben" so when he walked in It was a nice special surprise. I called multiple times confirming It was going to be done and was kept being reassured yes. I check in at the front desk I ask again is the room set up with the surprise and was told yes. Walk into the room recording and NOTHING WAS SET UP. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT AND SADNESS as I wanted It to be special. Poor poor poor job on their end and will never forget this as a customer. Unfortunately doesnt matter how many times you call and confirm. 1/10 job on their end.
