Perfect stay—— 10/10

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed at the Biltmore Miami and absolutely loved every minute of it. The service was top-notch from start to finish, with staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The pool is massive and absolutely gorgeous – a highlight of the property. Our room was beautifully designed, spacious, and felt luxurious in every detail. This hotel truly exceeded expectations. From the historic charm to the modern comfort, everything was perfect. We can’t wait to come back. A definite 10 out of 10!

The Mausoleum formerly known as The Biltmore.

• On May 25, 2024, a year in advance, The Biltmore Hotel took $738.62 as a one night deposit from me for a May 2025 University of Miami Graduation and held it, & yet in all that time they did not know that the room I would be given on Thursday evening, May 7, 2025 did not have operable cold and hot water faucets. I guess the maids are oblivious to this fact and one wonders how they clean the room. • The faucets were so hard to turn, I had to have my husband try to open and close them using a towel, for lack of a wrench. We arrived late in the day and had enough time to grab dinner out with our soon-to-be-graduate, and then get ready for her graduation day on Friday. We had a small amount of time on Friday before graduation. The concierge desk was of no help, telling us to go to the front desk. The line at the front desk was quite long, as usual, and we did not have time to wait to make a complaint. I filled out a help ticket on the website regarding the faucets but never heard from anyone. Later on we were told by non-english speaking staff that the toilet was clogged when we went back to the room. That made no sense. • On Saturday morning, while we were still hotel guests, HOURS BEFORE WE CHECKED OUT, we went to the pool and were basically turned away because there were no chairs available. The response from the pool attendant was a shrug of his shoulders and the remark of “It’s Mother’s Day weekend”. That is a completely unacceptable response for a hospitality business, much less one that charges a per night resort fee. • But judging by Mr Jeffrey Saylor, Director of Rooms comments, it is of no surprise. In the letter response to our credit card re: our dispute Mr. Jeffrey Saylor states very rudely & arrogantly that “We are glad to know that they found the Loews Hotel in Coral Gables which is a better fit for them”. How dare he make such a comment. He also states that we checked out before The Biltmore could make it right. For his information, we made the Loews reservation a week prior, & cancelled 2 additional days at the Biltmore within the cancellation period. • Upon checking out I brought the issue of the faucets to the attention of the man at the desk who looked at me stone faced. I said will you report this fact about the faucets so that the next guest doesn’t have to deal with this? Again, no real empathy, concern or sense of urgency. • If Mr. Saylor or his team were at all concerned with guest opinions or dissatisfaction he would have had ample opportunity to investigate. He could have responded to my note about Raising a Concern during my stay, responded directly to my note to our booking agent, or contacted us before my dispute and certainly before mid-July after my dispute. He clearly does not care. • Once again Mr. Saylor and the majority of his front facing staff would be better suited at a mausoleum or a museum where hospitality, empathy, courtesy, and a sense of urgency are not paramount. • Graduation was wonderful in spite of this hotel and when and if our daughter returns to UM for her Masters and or Med School we have found a hotel that caters to the living and not the ghosts of a previous time.

Disappointed During What Should Have Been a Memorable Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I usually don’t leave public reviews, but after being brushed off in person and having my email to the hotel ignored, I felt I had no choice but to share my experience. My wife and I stayed at The Biltmore Hotel from June 5–8, 2025, for our wedding weekend. We reserved five rooms—including a Golf Suite—and paid for a photo permit to take pictures on the grounds. Given the cost, we expected a level of service and care that unfortunately wasn’t delivered. Despite confirming with a staff member that my groomsmen could briefly wait in the designated photo room, I later received a follow-up email with a surprisingly strict and accusatory tone, warning of extra charges. It was enough to make us avoid the space altogether and find an alternative, which added unnecessary stress on our wedding day. Worse, on our final night, we discovered both dead and live bugs (possibly termites) along the window sills and floor of our suite—right next to the bed. It was unsettling, especially after having already stayed there two nights. We took photos and were ready to share them with staff, but no one followed up. The Biltmore’s reputation and setting are beautiful, but our experience fell far short of what we hoped for during such a special occasion. I hope management takes guest feedback more seriously moving forward.

Historic building on beautiful location, nice room

Super beautiful location and historic building, on a golf course and with largest pool I have seen. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean, breakfast is decent, but the whole place requires a little renovation.

A Dream Come True, 25 Years Later

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

There was once a young lady who stumbled upon the beautiful Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables and thought, “If I’m ever able, I’d love to return and stay here—or at least enjoy a cocktail in this stunning place.” Twenty-five years later, that dream came true. Not only did she return, but she did so with two dear friends—and to their absolute delight, the incredible Biltmore team, led by Mr. Matthias Kammerer, upgraded them to the Presidential Suite! The entire two-day stay was magical. Every moment made us feel like royalty, and the hospitality was beyond anything we could’ve imagined. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Kammerer and the wonderful Biltmore staff for making this visit so special. It was truly an experience we will never forget!
