Reviews for EB Hotel Miami Airport

Perfect for airport & downtown.

Stayed just 1 night whilst transiting through Miami. It’s a good quality hotel - nice public spaces, bar, restaurant and the room was huge & well appointed with excellent sound insulation. All the staff were delightful. There’s a nice pool with lots of sunbeds, but we didn’t have time. Easy to get an Uber to/from downtown and the hotel offers a free airport shuttle every 30 mins.

The employees make a difference!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I wish I could rate this 4 1/2, because there truly were some great things about this hotel. The employees went above and beyond. My husband needed something from CVS, but we didn't know where it was. The employee walked us to the location where he could show us how to get there. The shuttle bus driver was fun to talk to and helped make an already short ride feel shorter. We ate at the restaurant, where the waitress helped guide us on what we should eat. She did not steer us wrong! Room service was quick and didn't cost any more than at any other hotel, but we did have to call because the website in the QR code was a little weird. The hotel and rooms were absolutely stunning and everything felt really clean! The reason I didn't give it a 5-star review was for the following: It doesn't seem like the best of neighborhoods and wasn't a great view. We had to walk to CVS and it was pretty scary. Also, the lights and bed weren't plugged in, so my husband had to do some research to figure that out and then get them plugged in. The shower was good in theory but was complicated to figure out - you couldn't use all showerheads at once and the water pressure was terrible. The good outweighed the inconvenient, but we only stayed one night. I'm not sure if I could have dealt with that shower much longer.

Our third stay here for good reason!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

When we arrived at check in, we were greeted by Diego Vallejo. He was very polite and professional. We told him our room had been booked through our Amex Platinum app. He looked and said the Expedia was actually the platform they used to book through Amex which disappointed us since Amex booking usually offers perks of late check out. He was so kind and gave us an upgrade and late check despite the booking platform. We had lunch at the EB bar after check in. Viviana waited on us and was such an intuitive and excellent waitress. She made me a non alcoholic lemonade and my husband an old fashion which were perfect. She advised us on what to order and our meal was perfect too thanks to her. The next morning we were lucky enough to have her wait on us for breakfast. The Miranda Benedict she recommended was so delicious. The lattes were perfect and again her service was impeccable! This was our third stay and between the clean and spacious rooms, exceptional service and food, we will definitely continue our stay here in the future

An Elevated Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed at EB courtesy of American Airlines :-) Although we were disappointed to miss our connection this was a delightful diversion. It was a a great experience from the front desk staff, to the wonderfully appointed rooms and dining. We were pleasantly surprised when a dessert was delivered to my room (it was my birthday). You don’t expect the service and ammenities near an airport but this was truly an elevated experience.

Needs a ton of work

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Paid for the king suite and was shocked by how low the standards were. First of all, who needs a window into the bathroom? There was a glass door from the shower into the glass door with the toilet. So if someone has to go to the bathroom while someone is showering, I hope you two are real close. So gross. The shower temperature was not even lukewarm and some of the controls didn't even work. Second, the pillows were the most god-awful thing that I have ever laid my head on and I'm not THAT picky - both my husband and I got absolutely no sleep because they were flat as a board. The bed is a sleep number and is supposed to adjust to your number which we have one at home so we already knew ours but the bed was unresponsive. Our TV in front of the bed did not work at all but thankfully the TV in the sitting area did work so we decided not to call maintenance about it as we were just staying there one night. There was nothing to do around us except for the little airport liquor store place that had amazing food, so we brought some back to the hotel to kill time until it was time to sleep. Because we were only staying there one night. I did not care very much about the view...however, watching a drug bust go down at the little strip club looking joint in the parking lot next door provided some mild entertainment. Upon arrival, while waiting for a room we sat at the bar and ordered drinks and food, I noticed for the entire almost 3 hours we were there that the sitting areas around the bar were completely untouched. Dirty plates and dishes and paid tabs were left for the 3 hours we were there, with no attempt to pick them up. There was only one bartender that wasn't too friendly and seemed to be working and had to do everything by himself. Someone else eventually showed up but was slower than molasses. While we were at the bar, a woman came up and used the microwave directly next to me to heat up her cup of noodles. I thought that was an extremely weird place to put that right next to guests -with all that unused space around the sitting areas, why not just create a little private alcove for people to use a microwave? It was close enough our elbows were touching. Walking around the hotel exploring, we were interested in the pool area except it was almost abandoned looking, there was nobody out at the bar area and it looked sketchy so we decided not to take advantage of the pool. Had there been some form of nightlife by the pool we would have been happy to check that out but instead we were bored in our room. When we walked over to the international airport liquor store place, we learned that this was not a safe place to walk around and explore outside the hotel, so we were forced to hang out in our room. Because we were only staying one night, I decided not to register my formal complaints, but upon checkout they asked how everything was and we told them about all the problems we had, the receptionist could not have cared less and gave us a card and said to come back next time 🫩 I picked this hotel because of the lower prices and because it provided a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and was one less Uber to take before our cruise the next day. However, the shuttle took almost 45 minutes to get down the 15-minute road to get to us - and after seeing the gross downtown traffic the next morning to get to the port, I really should have just paid more to stay closer to the port. Lesson learned.
