Mare Restaurant is situated on the 25th floor of what is now the Marriott Luxury Hotel, formerly the AKA Hotel. My husband and I are banking professionals based in the Brickell area, and we have dined at Mare for lunch on numerous occasions. It's certainly no coincidence that the Manager is actively involved in every detail from offering a warm welcome and crafting a delicious Aperol Spritz to cleaning plates from a table and preparing an exquisite Cuban Coffee, without a doubt, Leandro is a King, but without a crown. Many Leandro's are needed in the hospitality industry. We, the satisfied guests, placed the crown.

From the very first moment, we were enveloped in a sense of comfort and refined hospitality. This remarkable experience was shaped not only by the gracious, attentive, and genuinely welcoming presence of the manager, Leandro, but also by the impeccable service throughout. Overall, a fantastic experience with a Breakfast team, the service was absolutely excellent, especially Julianna and Jessica were very sweet and kind . Special mention to Leandro, who made a point of greeting us properly, no just a quick hello, but real eye contact, and often a short conversation, he made the whole experience feel personal rather transactional.

Last week, we had breakfast at Mare restaurant amidst a tense and difficult situation due to Micros system in the restaurant was not functioning, checks could not be printed or closed, but the breakfast Manager (Leandro) every moment reflected high professionalism and refined attention. He created such a positive reliable environment, he even used his Phone to take screenshots of the checks and showed them to those of us who were there, our kudos and deepest gratitude to him.

I can not believe how badly the property is managed now. I have a 2 week stay at the hotel for business and basically every other day there is some annoying issue: -TV remote is broken -No room service QR code or menu: I asked the front desk about it, they said they will bring a QR plaque for the menu, but nothing happened. I already asked 3 times at the front desk they always say they will put it into the room but after the 3rd time i just gave up -After using the Laundry service, they did not provide me with additional Laundry Bags or form. I asked at the front desk on my way to work if they could put some into the room... nothing there in the evening. Then i called the Front desk again, and they said they will immediately bring some. The bags did arrive but no forms for the laundry. -The glass shower door is falling apart and can not properly close. This is quite dangerous as it can shatter. I've told the front desk on multiple occasions that it's broken, on the 3rd day now. Maybe today is different. -Room cleaning staff left a bottle of their cleaner in the bathroom and took a bottle of my aftershave for some reason? -Once I called the room service number and they would just not pick up for several minutes until it reached some automated answering machine.
