Reviews for Kimpton EPIC Hotel

Excellent location, modern and comfortable hotel that is truly accommodating to guests.

I stayed at the Kimpton EPIC in Miami for one night while in town for business and left incredibly impressed. From valet, through check-in, check-out and everything in between the entire team at the hotel was flawless. I stayed in a water view room, which had great water views (as promised), and even more impressively, was large, especially based on Downtown Miami standards. The room was impeccably clean, even the balcony, showing attention to detail and how much the staff truly cares about giving guests a top-notch experience. While I didn’t have the opportunity to utilize many of the facilities at the hotel (pool, gym, bars, etc.), I did spend a little time exploring the property and they all look great. If I had more time, I would take advantage of all of them. The hotel offers complimentary infused and plain water for those of us who carry travel water bottles with us, as well as delicious coffee in the morning in the lobby. A nice touch for sure. I would like to especially call out and recognize the general manager of the property, Erica. She greeted me warmly, took the time to ensure I was having a pleasant stay, and offered to make my stay perfect, even if it was just for one night. She definitely is a star performer, and likely a key reason why this hotel is as well run as it is. I’ll definitely be back again.

Outstanding Service at Area 31- Best experience in Miami

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Last night we went to Area 31 and had an amazing experience. We were welcomed by the valet parking supervisor, Adolfo, who really went above and beyond for us. We didn’t have a reservation and weren’t sure if kids were allowed in the restaurant, but he took the time to call the restaurant himself, check availability, and make sure we could get a table. He basically helped us with everything — gave us clear information about how to request the car later and made the whole process super easy. He was very informative and genuinely nice the entire time. The restaurant was excellent — beautiful views and exceptional food. When we requested our car, it only took about 5 minutes. The valet team opened our doors and wished us a safe trip home. Honestly, this was the best service we’ve received here in Miami.

Cleanliness an issue

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

On the bright side, the room is nice and the views are great. However, cleanliness here was a problem. The tub still had some stray hairs in it (as well as some unsightly brownish water stains) and the shower still had the previous guest’s hair clump stuck to the wall. Gross. It’s also quite loud - you can easily hear construction and street noise (even from the 24th floor), and, while I don’t blame the hotel for being in a flight path, the sound of planes coming in to land (or taking off) is really loud as well. On the bright side, the room is spacious and attractively designed / decorated, the bed is quite comfy, and the front desk staff is very pleasant. But for a couple hundred bucks more I could’ve stayed at the nearby Four Seasons and gotten a much better experience.
