Kimpton EPIC Hotel

This is already our 10th time coming here. I work for KLM and every time I’m in Miami my mother comes to visit me. She drives a large, older Suburban and Jean Baptiste is always there waiting for us with a big smile to welcome us. He is incredibly interested, hospitable, and always willing to help by driving and parking our car. We become genuinely happy every time we see Jean Baptiste again. He is very professional and extremely friendly. We would therefore like to give him five stars. What great servicethank you so much, and hopefully see you again soon!

Amazing room. Amazing views. Clean and quite. Good facilities. Elevators are overworked. Only three out of four were functional. Incredibly expensive. Lobby is non-assuming. Close to everything if you are in town for business. Would only stay here if someone else pays.

The room was subpar for the rate. We booked a standard king room but were instead placed in an ADA suite. The shower head was set very low, and worse, it leaked heavily from the side, spraying water throughout the bathroom. Despite sound-isolating glass, the suite was still quite loud at night, with significant motorcycle, car, and ambulance noise. The TV did not support casting or connecting to streaming services like Netflix or HBO. We stayed at another Kimpton less than a week ago that did offer these features, so this was a noticeable step down. Most disappointing was the service response. Partway through our stay, we were asked for feedback and clearly explained these issues. No alternative room was offered to address the problems—only an apology. We also requested a late checkout, which was denied. The location is excellent and the views are attractive, but for the price point and the brand, I expected a significantly better room and a more proactive service recovery.

Not a fan of this place. It's an older property that needs a bunch of $ invested back in. The big problem is the rooms. In our room, in the first day, the sinks were clogged and the shower broken, required two visits from the plumber. The suite had NO overhead lighting and so it's dark, lit only with a few scattered, low-wattage lamps. The bathroom is odd, alot of wasted space yet no counter space at all for the ladies to put a bag to apply their makeup etc. The shower controls are on the far side so you have to stand under the shower head to turn the shower on - just odd. The towels are old and thin. This not acceptable in a supposed high-end, high-price property. There are balconies, but bear in mind you're right over the drawbridge, so who really would want to sit outside on the balcony with a constant roar from cars, motorcycles, boats, the pounding of the bridge, the banging of nearby construction. (I don't really fault the hotel for this, its just a fact that there is no peace whatever even 20+ floors up) There is also no dresser or bureau in the bedroom! No place to put your shirts, socks, gymwear etc. The furniture there is solely for appearance, its quite uncomfortable to sit on the sofa. The staff is quite good and responsive, no issue with the service. Little personality in this place - unlike other expensive hotels nearby, the hotel has no discernible vibe - just a cold, oversized lobby. In general, this place looks much better in the website photos than in real life. The combination of run-down, under-furnished and overpriced is not good; will not return.

I had an outstanding experience at the Kimpton EPIC in Brickell, largely thanks to Monica’s incredible service. When I checked in, I was placed in an accessible room with two beds. There was no mention at that time of a different room being available the next day. Later that evening, when I attempted to use the shower, there was no hot water and virtually no water pressure, which was extremely frustrating, especially since I was staying for four nights. Monica immediately picked up on my frustration and handled the situation with empathy, professionalism, and urgency. She assured me she would take care of it and made sure I was supported. The next morning, when I called the front desk, everything was handled right away. Monica arranged for me to move rooms immediately, and Johnathan, who was incredibly pleasant and helpful, came promptly to assist me with moving all my belongings. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. This is truly five-star, five-diamond service. Monica turned a frustrating situation into a standout hospitality experience, and Johnathan’s help was the cherry on top. This level of care and responsiveness is exactly why Kimpton stands out. Highly recommend the Kimpton EPIC, especially if you value service that genuinely goes above and beyond.
