Kimpton EPIC Hotel

When arriving, we were greeted by Hernan & David Gil, two amazing bellmen whose kindness and service made our arrival smooth and enjoyable.

Now I will clarify, it's been a minute since we've last stayed here and our last visits we really enjoyed our stay not that this trip was terrible. Check in, valet staff are brilliant, friendly and professional. Rooms very clean what gets me for the price they no longer provide a coffee machine, you pay for water. Their breakfast restaurant staff again very good, food ok but they really hit you for everything, shoot three orange juices $60.. It appears the hotel is draining you for every penny. Definitely not the experience we've had in NYC and London. Even this trip Zuma has really gone down a bit. I mybe becoming fussy the older I get but we always stay in 5 star hotels in Europe and this last week spending a few nights here and one night in the 4 seasons, US hotels have appeared to drop their standards and services. You are definitely not getting your monies worth here, shoot we pay double in Europe and nothing has changed, still brilliant there. I don't think we'll be returning to either the Epic and or 4 Seasons in Miami. We'll give the Ritz a go our next visit. Oh. Lastly for both hotels, they didn't have taxis available we got told to use Uber. I'm sorry if I'm leaving a hotel and want to leave I'm leaving immediately, I don't want to ha e to wait. 5/10/15 mins plus everytime I want to go somewhere.

We are still here and usually wait until we leave to review, however the service level at this hotel is the best we have experienced and better than hotels in London, Dubai, Shanghai, New York, Vegas and more! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by David who helped with our bags, super professional guy. The check in was smooth and done in minutes, I didn’t catch the ladies name but she was fantastic, was expecting us and 10/10. A massive thank you to Ericka and Monica for the truly outstanding service and attention to detail. Way beyond expectations, the owners of this establishment have got great management and we will hopefully return one day int he future. The suite was beautiful, and clean and modern, the views stunning, the cabana and pool area was spotless, Juan and Dominique were really professional and friendly, the pool area food was really nice too. The location is great, you are close enough to everything and can walk or uber to all the tourist spots easily. If you are looking for a quality hotel and have a special occasion I cannot recommend this hotel and the team enough. If I could rate this more than 10 out of 10 I would. Amazing.

The Epic hotel is an excellent place to stay. The valet parking is awesome especially Jean Baptiste. He is thorough and does his job with a smile on his face. I recommend the hotel. All the staff is excellent

Apart from the location, this property has little to offer in an area replete with great offerings. A 5 night stay was a let down. First off, the porte cochere is a congested nightmare. Twice returning to the hotel in an Uber, I elected to get out early because the hotel entry was jammed. The bed was lumpy and the sheets were not crisp. Inexplicably, on 2 nights my room was not cleaned -- I hate coming back to a rumpled bed. Items used from the mini bar were never replaced - was the half bottle of wine meant to last 5 nights? My room key card stopped working after 4 days. Dinner and breakfast at Area 31 were serviceable. Zuma was the shining star of the visit. Next.
