Love the Mayfair House. Absolutely gorgeous atrium, big rooms and the service is fantastic. From Robert, who checked us in on Sunday and read our notes for the request of an outdoor shower to Fabian, who handled it car, everyone is always wanting to give the best experience possible.

Dated Rooms / Very Limited Breakfast

The staff is mostly terrific and that is likely a reason why this hotel has high marks. Alejandro at the front desk and Jennifer in the morning restaurant are excellent. The rooms themselves were a bit dated. Very dark and need of refreshing. One of our rooms had a bit of a mildew smell. I heard from another guest their room was nicer, so perhaps they are in process. The roof top is nice but on the small side. Also, the restaurant boasts "free breakfast" when booking. Unfortunately, when you arrive you discover a very limited menu with basic items such as eggs an additional material cost. Expect some average granola and drip coffee and you will not be disappointed. I addressed some of these concerns with management (Gregory - food and beverage) ) and they appeared to have zero interest or authority in addressing concerns. It is a competitive market in Coconut Grove and I will look elsewhere on my next trip (University of Miami parents).

The service at the Mayfair has been incredible. When we arrived we were greeted by Jeffrey, who gave us a very warm welcome and helped us with a change in room type. Speaking with him started our stay off perfectly. Later, David helped with a room key issue and was kind and friendly. The guest services team quickly helped us twice with items we requested in our room and the valet team is welcoming and fast. Thank you!
