Reviews for Mayfair House Hotel & Garden

complimentary sanitizer

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Yes, the rooms look nice and have their own style — but that’s clearly not thanks to the current management. First of all, when you check in, they hit you with an extra $40 per day for no clear reason, something that was never mentioned when booking. Second, instead of a normal breakfast buffet, you get a menu where, if breakfast is included, you can choose one dish and one drink for free. The breakfasts themselves are pathetic. After the second morning, we stopped bothering to show up. The cherry on top? On Sunday morning at 9:30 AM, they blasted insanely loud live music that woke up the whole hotel. Guests were shocked. And to make things worse, we were charged $25 for parking less than an hour in front of the hotel. But hey, at least there’s complimentary hand sanitizer by the elevator. In short, this place is run by a truly poor-minded individual who turns what could be a beautiful property into a cheap, miserable experience through their management decisions. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Relaxing retreat

The Mayfair Hotel and Garden was the perfect choice for our anniversary celebration. Its location is ideal, surrounded by great restaurants and stores within easy walking distance. Our room was absolutely charming and added a special touch to our stay. The lush greenery and relaxing bath made our celebration incredibly romantic. I loved spending my evenings in the atrium, reading and soaking in the atmosphere—it felt like being in a stunning aquatic garden. The staff were also fantastic, offering excellent customer service throughout our stay. I can’t wait to book here again!

Outstanding service unparalleled botanical beauty

Unparalleled service in a beautiful botanical historic property. It doesn’t get much better than the Mayfair. From the smooth check in, to the courteous professional valet service you just know you’re welcome and in for an amazing experience. The staff is truly amazing. I’m a big fan and I come back as often as I can afford to. I’ve stayed in nearly every suite and the garden tub is always a favorite. No matter what room you get you’re in for a treat. Color drenched color palette and beautiful bedding make for a stylish and comfortable space to rest and renew. Excellent air conditioning and beautiful balconies on each floor but I’m particularly fond of the fourth floor. Don’t miss the roof top bar for a sunset sip or a relaxing day lounging poolside. Mayfair grill has an excellent menu and room service has always been great. The breakfast is also special. Conveniently located near the cocowalk if you feel like roaming off property. I will return for the continued excellence, amazing staff Fernando, Alejandro, Aron, as well as architectural details that make Coconut Grove a destination.

Great service, very comfortable rooms and great location!

A hotel is just a hotel, the staff is what makes it, and the staff at Mayfair has been exceptional. The front desk was warm and inviting, so personable and made us feel right at home. The bellman played games with my young son while we checked in, invaluable for a mother trying to check in alone with her young kids in tow. The rooms are cool and spacious and the hotel itself is funky and tropical, very well located with shops and restaurants right near, not to mention the legendary El Bagel right across the street Huge bonus!
