Mr. C Miami - Coconut Grove

This is going to come off as entitled, but let me finish :) I have a background and degree in Hospitality Management. I own my own consulting hospitality business and contribute to several well known travel industry publications. I have done every job in a hotel (Yes, even cleaned rooms). So, when I say Mr. C left me with few ways to critique-it means something! This review is not about rooms, dining, or amenities (which are all fabulous, btw!) but about the people. First impressions mean everything in this business. As a business professional, I have walked out of restaurants, hotels, even cosmetic surgeon's offices, when I am not greeted or greeted rudely. The valet gentlemen in the front are absolutely the kindest and sweetest-EVER! I had never seen such sincere and lovely smiles! I had THE toughest week personally and I came back to the hotel once or twice after having a cocktail...not only did they shoot the breeze with me and make sure I was safe, but they were absolutely concerned. Moving on to the Bellmen. Peter is about as patient as they come. Raul is a star! They humored this old lady way too much! There is a very special shout-out to the lovely Katy. She has the warmest smile and it's obvious she cares so much about guests at Mr. C. There was a few bumps in the road for me and Katy made sure to tell Rachel (another rockstar) about the incident. Rachel was genuinely concerned that I was stressed. I know I'm going to misspell her name: Sed? She is a gorgeous, Middle Eastern woman. She offered great advice. She is so wise! Her and Katy are just the sweetest. Jesus, oh my goodness...such a sweet young man. I had to beg him to call me by my first name! Lastly, Jonathan Paul. Sometimes, you meet someone and you're taken aback. This is Mr. Paul. He made sure my stay was seamless. In most hotels, the Director of Rooms is very behind the scenes as are most managers...Not Jonathan and Not Rachel. They are hands on. Jonathan is extremely well spoken and polished. It's almost embarrassing to speak to him because he sounds so natural and caring! I've stayed at many hotels, written about many brands. It takes a lot to impress me...The people at Mr. C are what make this hotel GREAT. You can tell everyone has a servant's heart. There are beautiful hotels everywhere, and I've stayed at a great deal of them, but what I always remember is the people and how they made me feel during my stay. :)

This is my third time staying at this hotel. My son attends a school close by and wanted a nice place to stay. However, I found the hotel lacking in areas that were very important. Turn down service, or When a driver would be picking up a guest the 3 men who worked at the hotel parking didn’t open the door to go into my car or coming back from a day out and when my daughter didn’t care for her pasta and sent it back because it was too sweet the bus lady didn’t tell the waiter. This hotel has limited staff and lazy. Many other hotels in the area.

World class experience! First and foremost, the staff is excellent. From the bellhops like Carlos, who grabbed my bags instantly and truly wanted to help. To the front desk staff who cared very much about making sure I had a great experience. Gabriel and Rachel wanted to help me get settled in, inform me of all the perks of the stay, and were there if I ever needed anything. THE POOL IS AMAZING. Calm, chill, and NOT BUSY. I think when I was there on the Thursday before MDW, there were like 7 people there. An attentive pool staff made sure I had drinks or towels. The gym is chill and nice. And the bellini's were delicious. The location is phenomenal. There's so much going on within 2-3 blocks of the hotel. It's really convenient. Oh, and I forgot to mention, my room was SPECTACULAR. I felt like a king. I love the balcony and all of the Mr. C branidng items. I love the nautical theme of the hotel. It was an elite experience. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel but not worth the price ..good location but very very overpriced for a room on the first floor….

Able and Joseph could not have been more attentive or friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect days by the pool.
